ANDY RICHTER CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE, the critically acclaimed and Emmy-nominated half-hour comedy, will have its second season premiere Sunday, Dec. 1 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Set in Chicago, ANDY RICHTER CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE depicts the exploits of Andy (Richter), a struggling short-story writer who makes a living writing technical manuals for a giant, indifferent company. As Andy narrates his real-life adventures, he not only tells us what happened but also shows us what could have happened, what should have happened, and sometimes even what he's thankful didn't happen.
Andy shares his office with the company's odd illustrator Byron (Jonathan Slavin). Also inhabiting his world of possibilities are his friends -- co-worker Keith (James Patrick Stuart), a good-looking ladies' man to whom everything come easily; supervisor Jessica (Paget Brewster); and receptionist Wendy (Irene Molloy), who is dating Keith.
Executive produced by Victor Fresco and Andy Ackerman, ANDY RICHTER CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE is produced by Paramount Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television.

I love this show! Between this and Scrubs, that now makes two live action comedies that I watch. Woo-hoo!
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to check out this thing I just pulled out of my ear......

Not on the top of my list of shows Fox should bring back, but it's definitely on the list. I can't believe the shows they cancelled. Futurama, Undeclared, Titus, Family Guy... While I'm at it, I'll blame them for not picking up Freaks and Geeks when NBC cancelled it. Critics and fans were begging for it to be picked up by Fox.
At least they canned That 80s Show and Ally McBeal, but Girls Club? blech!

I can't wait. This is my favorite new series from the past couple of years, without a doubt.

I remember when it was announced that it was coming back as a mid season replacement next year, there'd be some retooling. That release didn't seem to mention anything, but they might be burning off last season's eps that they didn't air, and then start with the new ones.
Anywho, putting it on Sunday is great, it will go really really well with Malcolm (I'm guessing it's replacing The Grubbs)

Hopefully Fox won't pull it and/or cancel it.

I also love how FOX calls December mid-season when certain shows (e.g. King of the Hill and The Simpsons) don't have a season premier until NOVEMBER 3rd!!!! What's up with THAT?!
