No Ed this week

There is no Ed this week. They are airing some kind of a circus sideshow show and Tom Cavanugh is hosting it. I hope this isn't a bad sign for Ed. Ed is in the 40s in the ratings.

I worry about the rating in the 40's. NBC just let go of Providence, another 40's rating show.

Providence was in the 50's-60's in terms of ratings this season.

All the shows on NBC are reruns this week (or not showing at all). It's just that time of the year before sweeps and the World Series isn't helping either.

They need to fix Ed. It's not funny anymore! The imprending wedding is ruining it by turning it completely into a soap opera. Need more Mike! Make Dr. Jerome get sick and be Mike's patient or something. Ed himself right now is getting on my nerves.

Yeah, they've drawn out this Ed-Carol-Dennis thing for way too long now.

Ed is insanely jealous.
Carol keeps choosing the wrong guy.
Dennis is manipulative.

We. Get. It. Now let's move the show along... thanks.

I refuse to believe that Carol and Ed will not eventually get together.

And any thread title with the words "this week" in it works better with an actual date... editing thread title for clarity.

Oh my god, I could not have said it better! This has been driving me nuts for weeks! I know it's a 'dramedy', but we need more comedy less drama!

Dr. Mike is a wild and crazy guy...we need more of him and Ed, like in the first season.

Any chance NBC "urged" the producers of ED to make more drama and less comedy so as to appeal to the West Wing audience? It just makes no sense what is going on, this show barely resembles the show when it first came on. Back when Ed made that goofy video and dressed up as a knight. I still love it, but it's too heavy. I've heard that the show still does well in the 18-49 demo, but if it dips more or doesn't lighten up, I think it might not last much longer. NBC has not helped showing so many specials rather than reruns of the show. Carol and Ed need to have sex, we need more of Mike and Nancy, and a whole episode revolving around Shirley would be fun. Please lighten up ED, but don't cancel it...EVER! And if Carol doesn't end up with Ed, I'm available.

I'd take Nancy, thank you very much. If I were in that high schol, I'd be doing some crazy things to get me sent to the guidance counselor on a regular basis Mike's a funny guy, but I wouldn't be above stealing his wife, since it's only tv
