Former Road Ruler dies in car crash
Michelle Parma from Road Rules' season three (and the RW/RR Extreme Challenge) died Saturday in a car crash in Texas. She was also a former Dallas Cheerleader. Here's the article from the Houston Chronicle:

Two women were killed Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision north of Conroe in Montgomery County.
Mandie Parma, 28, of Katy, and Michelle Parma, 27, of Dallas, were killed on Interstate 45 just south of Willis, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Austin Hodges, 16, of Huntsville was southbound in a 2000 Ford when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median into the northbound lanes, DPS said. The Ford struck the 2002 Jeep driven by Mandie Parma before it was struck by another northbound vehicle, a 2002 Kia driven by Barbara Kroll, 30, of Montgomery.
Mandie and Michelle Parma died at the scene. Hodges had minor injuries. Kroll was uninjured.

Whoah, I was trying to remember which girl this was and a Google search revealed she was the girl from the "Virgin" Internet hoax.

Hell, I thought that in Texas you could get your learner's permit at 14. Now that's too young.

I think it comes from perspective. When I was 16, sure, I wanted to drive ASAP. But now that I'm over twice that age, I'd rather see the driving age raised to 18 just due to the maturity angle (collectively as a group, kids at 16 are scary behind the wheel).

I got my license when I was 15. Of course I took a drivers ed class and had my permit for 90 days.
I am 18 now. I have never been involved in a wreck...unless you count the one where my parked car while I was in my sisters house was hit by her mother in law....
I would rather have a young driver on the road than an old person.

I don't think the age matters as much as maturity, responsibility etc. I think they should make the road test a little harder so it takes more to get a license. I took it in August and it was a major joke I was expecting much more.

Are you anywhere near Willis? If so, do you know what the "Ford" was (car, truck, SUV)... how fast everyone was going... if any or all were using seatbelts... basically any other details about the accident?

No, I'm not anywhere near Willis, even in Texas terms. I'm about 190 miles away. I know nothing about the accident, other than what was posted here.
I shouldn't have made the SUV comment, I was just in a mood.
