Crossing Jordan: Rick Hoffman siting (10/21)
I sure hope Rick Hoffman (Terry Loomis from Philly) is a regular... his niave-male-chauvanist-johnny-bravo act is kind of funny and something CJ really needed. Jerry O'Connell's Dt. Hoyt was starting to get stale. I guess I'm just bitter about Philly getting canceled.
I guess this post is a Philly "Where Are They Now":

Kim Delaney is over on CSI: Miami
Tom Everett Scott is Abby's brother on ER, and will be back mid-season
Rick Hoffman shows up here on CJ
Kyle Secor, who played the DA was the husband of the missing lady on Without a Trace (which is kind of funny since he was on the pilot of CJ)
... but where is Jamie Denton? Are there any more Pretender movies in the works? (I miss that show too...)
Oh, I digress... the episode wasn't nearly as good as writing this post. |
hmmm, he was the main reason I stopped watching this episode half-way through (although, I'll admit the talking corpses may have had something to do with it as well). from me. I'll put up with a lot to watch Jill Henessessy act, but this was one of the few Crossing Jordan's that I wasn't able to sit through.

I didn't think it was a great show either, but wanted to point out a couple inconsistencies in the episode. It is supposed to be based in Boston, and Nigel is riding the Red line, MBTA train. First of all, there is no smoking on MBTA trains, and second, thre is no switching from car to car through the dorrs at the end. If it was really in Boston,

Well, Crossing Jordan is a silly show, so I wouldn't concern yourself with plotholes and inconsistencies. C.S.I. is riddled with inconsistencies and it actually tries to avoid them. Crossing Jordan doesn't even care - it's just fun and silliness.
That being said, I enjoyed the episode and seeing Rick Hoffman. I liked his character more than Jerry O'Connell's "Woody" (which describes his acting as much as his boner for Jordan). Hoffman's been in so many cool things that I don't really associate him with Philly. In fact that whole cast was made up of established talents who made their name somewhere else. Still, I really miss it. It was much better than a lot of stuff that survived last year. das |
