This episode didn't hold much for me really. I found Lorne's whole act in Vegas a letdown too
So Angel hung around the rat pack? He knows Bugsy's tennis swing? What, at night??? lol.
The Blueman and mafia jokes were funny.
Cordy having no memory and then in next weeks preview kissing Angel...ok...um...naaa.
Funny, I just found myself wanting to hear more of Wesley's and Lilah's phone conversation

Oops, I keep thinking Sunday was the 21st of October. Sorry.
I found this episode to also be just okay, could have been a lot better. Sometimes you feel like Angel was related to Forrest Gump the way he "was there" and talks about it.
I'm not at all crazy about stringing along the Angel-Cordelia angle with the amnesia bit, it's a tired plot device, and groan-producing.
It's obvious that by smashing the orb, it allowed Cordy to came back to the earthly realm.
Fred looked okay in green.
Wes and Lilah have got to be a really kinky couple, that was the most interesting bit about the episode. Heh.

When did Wesley become interesting? Nice counterpoint to an otherwise "just for laughs" episode.

My guess is that Cordy was expelled for manipulating the slot machine, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. I've been really enjoying these Cordy-less episodes, and I'm not particularly looking forward to having both Cordy and Lorne back as regulars.

So much potential in Vegas and it did not come across as strong as I had hoped.
Gotta agree with the above post, Gwen "Electric Girl" was the best thing to happen to the show in awhile.

I thought it was fair. Not a big fan of Lorne, but the episode’s good jokes and moments equaled its puzzlers and missteps.
I agree, Angel hanging out with Elivs and The Rat Pack was a misguided “cool backstory” bit. We have always been lead to believe that Angel spent his time between getting a soul and ditching Darla and then finding Buffy was spent brooding and even all homeless crazy wandering- not hanging out with cool yesteryear stars.
The best part was the Wesley business, not only the kinky bit but that he is now so secluded and distant he doesn’t even mind stealing business from Angel, setting up further animosity.

I certainly did enjoy this episode; however, I knew (because someone leaked a spoiler on another board I frequent) that Lorne was in trouble and the gang would have to get him out of it. But I didn't mind too much. I would have figured it out as soon as he ignored them anyway. Speaking of the scene where he ignores them during his act, how sweet was Gunn's face when Lorne didn't ask him to sing? Crestfallen, I think is the word for that face. Too cute.
I loved Fred's dialogue when she comes out of Lorne's room. She is just too darn cute for words. She and Gunn do not annoy me anymore. Again, I'm w/ the love for all the characters .
Even Connor. I loved him fighting the vamp at the beginning and Angel's little nudge of help.
Hooray that Lorne and memory-less Cordy are back. I could not be happier. Well, I could if Wes was back in the fold too, but I'm anxious to see what kind of badness he is going to be up to. No, I was not referring to Lilah just then .
One more thing...I've said it before, but I just love Angel on his own show. I pretty much was ambivalent about him in Sunnydale. Of course, that was pre-Spuffy. Now, if he came back to Sunnydale, I'd scream. But my point is, that I just think he's great. I love his fight scenes and I loved his flirting w/ the Lornette. Basically, I love that he has a personality after years masquerading as a Cardboard Caveman. So, yay DB and yay Angel writers!
Well, that is true while he was still on Buffy, but in the epsiode 2.2, Are You Now or Have You Ever Been, he was hanging out quite spiffily at the Hyperion. As Joss says, "Continuity is for wusses."

I don't like all of the name dropping lately. It's annoying and makes him seem needy. Plus as someone pointed out it reminds me of Forrest Gump.
I was hoping the electric girl would stay too. I don't like Lorne at all, Cordy hasn't been much of a player for some time now, and I don't like her with short hair. I was really hoping both of them along with Groo would just leave and be replaced with new characters.

As far as electro-girl goes: Wisecracking kickass young girls in tight outfits are a dime a dozen on tv these days (something I'm only half complaining about- I am male after all, but I also get bored of the same old characters). She seemed okay enough, but her return is hardly essential.

The rest of the story I thought was decent, kinda just going through the paces. I felt like they were really prolonging the story with the music and the Lorne show.
They need to get back to the story in LA and bring back 'Electro-girl.'

Did anybody else have a problem with the Las Vegas geography in this episode? I've only been to Vegas once, but from what I recall it's impossible to run out of the Tropicana and be dead center on Freemont Street ; they're on opposite ends of the strip!!
Then when they returned to the Tropicana after the chase they were in Angel's car...where'd they pick that up?
Just seems strange that since they were filming on location they wouldn't mess it up like that.
