I heard Seth Green on the local radio station state that Family Guy is going to be released on DVD in December with a bunch of extras. This is exciting news!!! I love that show and especially Brian...

Did he mention what the extras might be? maybe un-aired episodes?

This show has to be one of the funniest shows I have ever seen! I can not wait for this to come out. I just wish they were still making them :(

Sorry, but if Seth said that he was wrong. All of the releases for that month have already been announced and Family Guy isn't among them. December 2003 maybe.

"Planet Family Guy received the latest news from Fox Home Entertainment on the release of the second series of Family Guy on region 2 DVD this afternoon. In an e-mail received from them today we were told: "Family Guy Season 2 will be released on DVD in early 2003, but we still don't have a firm release date for this."

Although originally planned for a late 2002 release, at least Fox has indicated that it still intends releasing the second series. The delay maybe related to the proposed release of Family Guy on DVD in the USA, for which extras are being produced, something that the first season region 2 release was rather lacking.

Sales of the first series region 2 DVD continue to go strong. Planet Family Guy will keep you posted on the latest news as we get it."

Also, on the DamnYouAll.net forums, someone connected with the show posted the following:
"The DVD will not be released by Christmas. The way it was going to originally be released the first season would have been here by Christmas but things have changed. All the reasons for the delay are positive ones and when it is released you will definitely be surprised. FOX will hopefully make an official announcement by the end of the year."
