HBO Original Series Commercial Song?

Okay, I did a thread search, and I could not find any thread that talked about this (sorry if there is one), but what is that song they play with the lyrics "I'll Wait For You" with the acoustic guitar? They play it every Sunday, and I can not for the life of me figure out who it is? Does anyone know? If there is a thread which has already answered this question, please link it. Thanks.

Hehe, they should bring back the "always...sunday" song. It was so pathetically hilarious, I had to laugh everytime I heard it.

Both songs (Always on Sunday and Waiting for Jane) are performed by Tammany Hall NYC, a little known band. Link to their page below:

HBO has such a great ad campaign. A few years ago, I told a friend they should just have billboards that had the word Sunday in big letters and maybe someone's face. Lo and behold they did something similar and shortly thereafter did those "Sunday." They know their audience so well. They don't need to insult them like NBC does. They have the best shows on television, and the know it. "It's Not TV. It's HBO." and "Sunday" speak volumes, because the quality backs it up.

I can't believe it. I downloaded "Always on Sunday" and I actually liked it in the context of the song. I still think the excerpt by itself was hilarious. I figured HBO commisioned somebody to make that song which just made HBO seem even more pompous than their "It's not TV. It's HBO." slogan.

Thanks! Too bad they actually changed the words for HBO. "Wait for Jane" doesn't sound as good as "Wait for You". Oh well. Thanks again.

No problem TK-421....

For a small band, they have a really nice website. Also, on http://www.hbo.com/ (down on the right side) they have posted the "Waiting for You" TV spot.
