Friends 10/10

They write chandler out cuz of his rehab?

Goldberg74 10-10-02 07:35 PM

Perry's back in rehab? Since when?

I thought this episode was pretty good. The whole Ross going to the pediatrician thing was funny, and Joey's humor problem with peoples names... but Paul Rudd's piano impersonation made me wanna puke... that was dumb.

Goat3001 10-10-02 08:45 PM

Is that why Chandlers out? Thats too bad. I was hoping that he would have scenes with him in Tulsa for like 3 or 4 episodes then bring him back to NY.

superstringtheory 10-10-02 08:59 PM

I thought this episode was kind of a dud:(

Geofferson 10-10-02 09:56 PM

Its gotta be because of the rehab.

freedexter 10-10-02 10:31 PM

I don't think he's out, I think his role is being reduced. That is, according to Wanda at E!Online.

http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Wanda/...2/021007c.html

It was an average episode. Nice that Phoebe is getting a chance for some lovin'.

Venusian 10-10-02 10:35 PM

if i remember right, this summer he realized he's throwing his life away and decided to go to rehab right away. he was on larry king i think talking about how he doesnt care about the show cuz this is a matter of life and death and he's sure the producers will understand or something.

Kal-El 10-11-02 01:35 AM

I read on People that he's DONE with rehab and all that...

MFRONE 10-11-02 01:39 AM

He was just on the talk show circuit a few months ago when Serving Sarah came out and he was saying he was clean. I think we would have known if he went back into rehab. His character was just getting very good again after all of his problems, this is upsetting if he gets written out of many episodes for no reason.

movieking 10-11-02 03:32 AM

I doubt that his role is going to be reduced very much, if at all. Last night's episode wasn't great. I didn't like Rachel's whole neurotic mother thing...

canuck 10-11-02 07:09 AM

The whole Joey, Phoebe blind date was pretty good.
I liked it better on Cheers though, when Sam grabbed the stranger and he turned out to be an ex-con murderer, for Diane.......

kevin75 10-11-02 07:11 AM

for the most part, i thought that last night's episode wasn't too bad. if chandler is indeed going to be seen less i will miss him. the best line of the night was rachel and her "dr. weeeeeeiiiiner!" line.

hotaru_san 10-11-02 08:25 AM

I thought it was fairly good, but not great.
I tend to wonder why Rachel has even the slightest interest in Ross, his character seems to be getting pregressively more childish.

But the blind date was good. I liked the part when the girl was leaving and Joey asked her something about if she was going, too so she asked him if he knew her name and he told her to have good night. :p

Oh my, I LOVED that ep. When Diane walks in from the motorcycle ride with him and one side of her hair is sticking straight up!

tofu 10-11-02 10:08 AM

good episode.

i liked it at the end when joey was trying to start a fight with chandler to make his leaving seem easier.

i'm wondering what friends will be like if chandler isn't there. i suppose that they'll just focus on ross and rachel like they were going to do anyway.

DVDJay 10-11-02 10:29 AM

I thought the episode was pretty solid. I really enjoyed the scenes with Ross at the pediatrician. I'm a huge Joey fan, but I really had a hard time getting into the blind date plotline. I'm starting the think they are laying the groundworks for Joey and Phoebe to hook up, but I could be dead wrong. I don't know why they put that fake piano playing in there; that was horrible. That's 20 seconds of my life that I'll never get back.

I'm really intrigued by the Chandler leaving plotline. I'm curious to see what direction they go in. I also really liked the way they played it out.

LOL! Forgot all about that! His name was Andy Andy!

I thought this was a very solid episode - I laughed quite a bit. I'm thinking they'll resolve the Chandler thing soon enough. Otherwise, MORE Phoebe and JOEY!!!! Hooray!

superstringtheory 10-11-02 11:10 AM

Of course, Joey and Phoebe will hook up--there is simply no other way around it:)

alarican 10-11-02 11:14 AM

I have to agree on the piano thing....it sucked royally

I wouldn't be surprised if they have Joey and Phoebe hook up, just to round out the bunch, but I've heard that we will see
Spoiler:
more of Paul Rudd and a return of Hank Azaria, battling it out for Phoebe.
That's from Wanda, so don't take it as gospel truth.

Yeah?

Chandler better not be out of this show. Even though the show is great, he is the best part of it. (he and Phoebe that is).
But Joey is getting better and better each episode.

I guess I am in a minority here. I liked the piano impersonation. It gave Phoebe another great line.
