Cartoon Network buys Futurama!!

Cartoon Network has bought the cable television rights to the much underapreciated Matt Groening series Futurama.

You know this program was pretty darn good and Fox gave it the shaft. Most of their football coverage went til 7:30pm and Futurama was often pre-empted or not shown at all.

Anyway read about it here

That's great news! Now we have to get them to take Family Guy.

Gotta be quicker than that in TV talk. You can often find info in here before the actors/writers/and stations know about it.

Thanks to all those football preemptions they have some episodes (15?) that never aired. It'll be gone once those are done.

Cartoon Network will only have reruns - no new shows. What's left will be shown on Fox and then it's over.

This is actually bad news, IMO. If syndication was truly the reason we didn't have R1 Futurama dvd sets, then this guarentees we won't get any for a good 2-4 years at least.
