In what I believe to be a completely shitty display, Leary said it was fake on Conan about a week ago. It's obvious that it's fake, but half the fun is the fact that they don't acknowledge it.

Yes it's fake. Too scripted not to be - a bus of deaf kids being brought in for the audience?? Don't think so. It's still friggen hilarious

I know that it's fake but a lot of it seems to be ad libbed versus scripted. I think they tell them where they need to go with scenes and what props/obstacles/etc will be present then they go with it.

It's a spoof on Project Greenlight, right?

I too saw Denis on Conan and he said it was 100% fake and couldnt believe people were dumb enough to think otherwise.

Well, people were dumb enough to believe that "American Idol" was real.

I read an interesting article about it in the LA Times that printed portions of the contracts that the singers all had to sign that basically said that the show's producers could do anything they wanted to influence the "voting" that determined the outcome. This story was printed well before the second runner-up was "voted" off.
