Friends Episode/Season Help
Hi folks. an someone that is a Friends afficianado(sp) help me???
I just found out that my favorite Friends episode (Phoebe and the Smelly Cat video) is in Season 2 and I can't wait until Tuesday to get it! I am trying to find another episode and the season that it is in. It is the one where they are trying to get the couch(?) up the awkward flight of stairs. When Ross yells "PIVOT! PIVOT!" I go into hysterics! (it has a personal reference as well. ;-) ) Can anyone tell me the season that this episode is in??? I'll keep searching the Friends Episode online guides but just thought that I would ask just in case someone knew it off the top of their heads. Thanks! Sam |
It's episode 516: The One With the Cop.
Joey has a dream that Monica is his girlfriend; Monica tells him it just means he wants a relationship with the closeness that he sees between herself and Chandler. She suggests he try being friends with a woman before being intimate. After hitting on Rachel (unsuccessfully), Joey tries to make friends with new women; but they find his "friends first" approach so enticing that they want the intimacy immediately. Phoebe finds a police badge under a cushion at the coffee house. She plans to return it but has too much fun pretending to be a cop... until she pulls it on the actual owner of the badge. She drops the badge and runs away; he tracks her down and asks her on a date. Ross (accompanied by Rachel) buys a new sofa, but can't get it up the stairs to his apartment. |

Well, you may have a chance to see it and possibly tape it if it airs. In San Diego, the local WB affiliate airs two episodes a day, as well as TBS, which airs one episode a day. Checking with <a href="http://tv.yahoo.com">Yahoo TV</a>, you can find out what episodes air. Being patient, you may get to see it. :)

Wow, it was that long ago? How time flies... I love that episode... Michael Rappaport and PIVOT! How can you beat that?

Rachel: Ross, I don't, I just don't think it's going to fit.
Ross: Oh yeah it will! Come on, up! Up-up-up! Up! Yes! Here we go! Pivot! (They start up the stairs again. Chandler is between the couch and the wall now.) Pivot! Piv-ot! Piv-et!! Piv-ett!!! Piv-et! Chandler: Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!! (They set the couch down.) Ross: Okay, I don't think it's going to pivot anymore. Chandler and Rachel: You think?! Ross: All right, let's uh, let's bring it back down and-and try again. (As they start back down the couch drops a little bit and gets jammed. They try to free it to no avail.) Chandler: Okay, yeah, I think it's really stuck now. Ross: I can't believe that didn't work! Rachel: I know, me neither! I mean, you had a sketch! Syndication always cuts it up plus the DVD's usually have more footage. I just watched the Smelly Cat Episode (The One Where Eddie Moves In) and the Smelly Cat video! HILARIOUS! And there was some extra that I had never seen before. Can't wait for Season 5... that shuld be, oh... a year and a half from now? :-(

If you buy a region free DVD player you can get season 5 now.
just go to amazon.com\uk and search friends, I think up to season 8 are available. |
