... a part time correspondent on Wednesdays and Thursdays and weekend co-anchor. Here's the article taken from The People Beat column of the S.A.Life section of today's San Antonio Express News:

"Extra" lands Cowell

"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell will have some more airtime to hand out insults and now that he's taken a job as a special correspondent for "Extra."

The 42-year-old record executive will be appearing on the entertainment newsmagazine every Wednesday and Thursday beginning this week in a segment called "The World According to Simon." In addition to his special segments, Cowell will help co-host the weekend editions of "Extra" along side Danya Devon and one of "American Idol's" co-host, Ryna Seacrest.
