Josh went nuts in the POV meeting today. The houseguests said that it'd be hard to get any usable footage from the meeting due to Josh's outbursts and antics.

Oh yeah,
Spoiler:
Lisa did not use POV, so Josh and Roddy are still up for eviction.

conscience 08-12-02 08:21 PM

Why does Josh act like such a friggin' baby when it comes to him being put up? He knew from the get go that it might and probably would happen.

God...one more reason why I am hoping he gets booted and doesn't win. I would rather anyone win, but him.

Even Marcellus...who gets on my nerves a little more. Because Josh is half way decent when he isn't up for eviction.

Patman 08-12-02 08:31 PM

Some people are just horrible when they are under pressure. Josh is a prime example of such a person.

Oh, speaking of Marcellas and his quirks:

Spoiler:
Marcellas had a private conversation with Gerry to discuss the perception that Gerry is hygienically challenged and he should not allow the rest of the houseguest use that as a reason to get rid of him, Gerry took the advice well. Marcellas is also bummed that he's now out of 91% rubbing alcohol to clean up the places that he has to share with the houseguests via touch.

clemente 08-12-02 10:31 PM

I like Roddy. He's done nothing to make me dislike him, unlike others in the house. He's playing the game extremely well and the fact that he may get the boot this week is a testament to that.

Patman 08-13-02 08:31 AM

If Roddy was really "smart" he would have sublimated his "Encyclopedia Brown" persona, and just played like an average guy (like Jason, but not a virgin).

Timber 08-13-02 08:44 AM

Roddy seems like a very cool guy and I wouldnt' mind seeing him win in the least. But if the other houseguests are smart they would get rid of him this week and then try and oust Josh next week.

Patman 08-13-02 08:48 AM

Too bad Roddy decided to sleep with a lying back-stabbing "girlfriend".

dek 08-13-02 08:48 AM

I fully understand the adage: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. But Roddy, stop living that adage!

:D

Josh is really working all the angles. His latest trick up his sleeve:

Spoiler:
Josh has offered Danielle a cut of the winnings if he makes it to the final two. And now he's trying to get Gerry and Lisa on board. I think this is totally against the rules, so we'll have to see if BB does anything about this form of "campaigning."

movielib 08-13-02 04:38 PM

What is wrong with Josh? I think Danielle is well able to secure Roddy's eviction if Josh will just shut up. The only one who can get Josh evicted this week is Josh.

Patman 08-13-02 05:44 PM

Josh just might pull it off! I can't wait to see the faces of Roddy and Chiara when the votes are announced, and Roddy is booted 4-1.

Patman 08-13-02 10:27 PM

Well, just when you think Josh might pull off the biggest upset in BB history,
Spoiler:
Roddy confronts Josh in front of all of the houseguests and verbally pummels Josh with all of the backstabbing and wheeling and dealing he's been doing, and before you know it, Marcellas gets in on the act, and get an ovation from the houseguests over b-slapping Josh as well. Roddy might have bought himself another week in the BB house with his performance today.

Now, if he was struck, then I think there may be a case to kick off the person who struck him. Just look at what happened to the guy with the knife last season. Now that would add a funny twist.

Blaster1 08-14-02 10:23 AM

The house guests are morons if they keep Roddy in.

Well, it's no secret in the house that Josh is a creep who does not deserve to win but that does not mean it is top priority this week to get him out (although they certainly should not let him hang around until the finals, a la Will) and I'm counting on the houseguests to see this. Danielle, the clearest thinker in the house, certainly sees this and I think she'll be able to get enough on her side to pull off getting rid of Roddy.

Another factor could be that this was initiated by Roddy in his desperation to stay. Perhaps they should think, "Will he do this to me if I'm nominated with him?"

Another thing they should take into account is what if Eric is the ousted guest who returns? With Roddy and Eric both there, the power could shift back to where most of them do not want it to be. (I don't know if they will know who is coming back before or after their vote; my guess would be after.)

Patman 08-14-02 12:08 PM

Saoirse, it was all verbal warfare, no one was physically pummelled.

I've been watching some of the live feeds that are uploaded to the newsgroups, and Roddy is one helluva verbal manipulator. He really is scary on that level.

Anyhow, the one who holds to key to Roddy's future in the house is Lisa. If Eric comes back, and finds that Lisa was instrumental in having Roddy booted, it might cause a strain in their relationship. That's really the only reason for Lisa not to boot Roddy, otherwise, strategically, she should boot Roddy. But I see both Jason and Marcellas voting to boot Jason; Danielle and Gerry will vote to evict Roddy (that's my guess, anyhow).

Oh, Yeah I was wondering. But the term B-slapped was used, so I assumed. Thanks for the clarification.

I have not watched the live feeds, just the show on cbs, and it is definitely not going in Roddy's favor, imo

Yeah it's funny how it really is TWO DIFFERENT STORIES.
TV editing does amazing things.

While it has flipp-flopped back and forth.
And I've seen the reasons from Danielle for/against Roddy, I'm not sure she is going to make the right choice (especially if it's Eric that comes back).

I see her thinking of not wanting to show her real cards too early.
And if he stays and wins HOH, they still can get Gerry out first.

But it's NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR JOSH TOMORROW!

Electric2k 08-14-02 10:35 PM

I am also of the opinion that every person on that show that votes Josh out is an ABSOLUTE MORON. Roddy is by far the biggest threat, and if they let him go now it's just STUPID.

Patman 08-15-02 08:30 AM

I just can't wait to see the face of Chiara when Lisa is able to engineer her ouster while playing "her friend" for the time being. Lisa is seriously on a mission, and she's been able to find a way to be on both sides now. I think Danielle may have shown Lisa her cards too early.

I think Lisa is the key because Jason and Marcellas with vote to boot Josh, and Danielle and Gerry will vote strategically and boot to boot Roddy. Lisa has to vote on whether she wants to take the chance to boot Roddy, and have Eric come back and then she has to figure out a way to smooth things over because Chiara will be hellbent on getting some revenge and Chiara will plant some ugly things in Eric's head (remember, Chiara and Roddy both supported Eric), and that would put Lisa in a bad position romantically. If Lisa boots Josh, she still might able to ride Roddy and Chiara (and withstand the return of any of the evictees) into the final 4 because they still don't know that Lisa is mad at them.

I had to laugh when last night's show showcased Gerry "gross" habits. This man is pretty vile when it comes to hygiene.

jhansla 08-15-02 10:41 AM

After watching last nights show i honestly do believe that Roddy is going tonight. I think Marcellas is going to vote Roddy out because from the way it looked he was backing Dani up. I think it will go 4-1 will Jason only voting for Josh out. I could see that Josh was worried because he thinks that Roddy will definately stay in thats why he wanted Lisa to take him off forcing Chiara to put up (most likely) Gerry. Its been said before that Chiara is a Complete idiot and I agree. I think she deserves everything shes gets. I'm betting Roddy will go this week and next week Chiara will go.

For the win I would like Jason or Lisa. Only because these two haven't annoyed me once yet where every one else has

Tonight show will be good but I've got my doubts that Eric will be going back in. Mainly because he was no good at the competitions.

SpaceBoy 08-15-02 10:57 AM

Man, do I love that show, and this thread. I have such a hard not peeking..

I think it's unfair to have eric back, since he just was voted off last week. How big a deal is it, that they dont' know what's been going on in the house, if they just left last week? I think it would be cool to see the first woman back, just because that was so long ago. Inside I"m hoping for Amy, simply cause her are marecelas are just to funny together.

I bet Josh is gone, but that's just because, I think those people love talking about the game so much more than playing it. ha

They love saying stuff like I don't want to show my cards to early, or that I keep my mouth closed and my eyes open. blah blah. Makes them seem smarter to not do the smart thing in this case, which is to vote off Roddy, instead they can do the dumb thing and later be like I didn't want to come out to early, which backfired thus I lost. :)

If Roddy gets voted, man I can't wait to see the face he makes to keke. I think the whole thing relationship on both sides is to simply give them more strength. How could he like that Keke, so dumb. Did you see, she got 0 right on the very first memorization thing.. Good grief!
