Jason Northrup 07-29-02 08:18 AM

Coyote and Road Runner should be right up there near Bugs Bunny. In fact, most of the WB characters should be right up near the top, followed by Simpsons characters. I'm not saying the other's don't deserve the list, but they are less deserving.

Jason 07-29-02 08:47 AM

Was this list randomly assembled?

Pikachu is higher than Mickey Mouse rotfl

Daria rotfl

Bobby Hill rotfl

And what's the deal with lumping Bart and Lisa together?

Daytripper 07-29-02 09:22 AM

Where the hell is the Pink Panther? And Tom and Jerry at #50!?? Whatever!

Lampei 07-29-02 10:13 AM

What about Transformers, He-Man, and GI Joe? I thought they were pretty popular.

mllefoo 07-29-02 10:16 AM

Where the hell is Bender??? And Stewie? I'm flabberghasted that Bobby Hill and Picachu would be on the list but not Bender and Stewie.

Morbo should have been on the list, too, dammit.

LBPound 07-29-02 12:45 PM

Way to leave off Slimer, TV Guide...ya big fat idiots!

Rypro 525 07-29-02 02:16 PM

bart and lisa are two seperate characters. bart is great and lisa is very annoying. how in the world did angelica pickles from the rugrats cartoon make the list also.

Zodo 07-29-02 02:17 PM

Yikes.
I won't even begin to figure out where they started going wrong with this list.

It's wrong on so MANY levels.

...whatever

Pants 07-29-02 02:44 PM

This is the most F'ed up thing of all time.

Bart and Lisa are not some kind of tag team.

Mickey Mouse is not my favorite, but he is the Birth of a Nation of cartoons (or maybe thats Fantasia, get it). He was the first animated super star. To put him at 19 is rediculous. And he is the first Disney character on the list. WTF!!!

Everything, I mean EVERY LAST THING ON THIS LIST is wrong.

Rypro 525 07-29-02 03:17 PM

plus, gumby is not a cartoon.
i would make these changes
1.mickey
2.bugs
3.homer
4.pooh
5.slyavester (tweety imo is a seperate character)
6.snoopy
7.charlie brown
8.bart simpson
8.porky pig
8.donald
9.lucy (peanuts)
10.fred flintstone
11.kenny (south park)
12.speed racer
13.space ghost
14.beavis
15.hank hill

i would take off
daria
angelica
lisa
alvin (also, why is alvin seperate from the chipmonks, imo they were all the same.)

also, remeber, this is the same company that made sienfled the number one show.

thegame370 07-29-02 03:34 PM

Hey what happened to Johnny Bravo?! .

Zee 07-29-02 04:19 PM

Where are all the wonderous cartoon characters from the 80s? Lampei already covered some of them, but what about Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, and even Puff the Magic Dragon? Those were the cartoon characters I grew up with- it seems like they left out an entire generation of animation.

UAIOE 07-29-02 04:32 PM

I agree with thier #1, Bugs is #1.

Pikachu before Mickey? wrong wrong wrong

Borst 07-29-02 09:52 PM

Mickey should be #3 and Tom&Jerry should be #4

And Coyote and Road Runner, Donald Duck, and Woody Woodpecker should all be in top 10

nightwing82 07-29-02 10:22 PM

where is he-man?? how about inspector gadget? slimer? tv guide must not remember the 80s. losers.

TheMadMonk 07-29-02 10:28 PM

No Smurfs?

TropicalRobot 07-29-02 11:34 PM

The Powerpuff Girls ranked above Mickey Friggin Mouse?! What great historical perspective these clowns have. Agree with the top 2 --beyond that, burn it.

UAIOE 07-30-02 03:51 AM

Tom & Jerry were robbed...#50? Please

Angelica Pickles before Peanuts? Is TV guide nuts?

Wile E. Coyote & Roadrunner #38? bah...

Pikachu before Sylvester & Tweety, Donald & Porky? Why is that little yellow rat on this list?

Who made up this sh*t?

See my previous final statement

Deadpool 07-30-02 03:05 PM

That list is the wackiest thing I've read in some time. I got a good  out of it

Morf 07-30-02 03:07 PM

Where is He-Man? My dear God in Heaven!

the aftermath 07-30-02 03:49 PM

rotfl what a ridiculous list. Anything post 1995 shouldn't be on that list (with one or 2 exceptions)

cooper2000 07-30-02 04:08 PM

I am getting tired of TV guides lists not to mention their collector covers.

And where is Sherman and Peabody????

Giantrobo 07-30-02 06:35 PM

Further proof these lists are pulled out of the asses of writers just looking to meet a deadline...
