until the new thread comes up:

Spoiler:
Thank god catch21 will now shout his mouth! How long have we been telling him that Al is not the mole?!?!?!?!?!?! The mole is bill!!

goofee girl 07-23-02 08:56 PM

Spoiler:
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Al was my choice for the Mole. :(

Guess I'll move over to Bill. Heather has been made out as the mole via editing so she's definitely not it. Dorothy could be but I don't think so.

Next week is it!! Yay!

Neitzl 07-23-02 08:57 PM

Spoiler:
DOH!

AJW 07-23-02 09:33 PM

Drats I would have liked to have seen Al win. He was most entertaining :)

edited to remove spoiler tags now that the new thread has been started

Two lies and a truth... The Mole (7/23)

Good ep, although those quizzes are still crapshoots. The total of the cards that were dealt to the Mole? Come ON!

Anderson Cooper = the best reality TV show host ever. He needs to host every reality TV show. I would probably watch Survivor and Big Brother if he did. :)

Props to Dorothy for hanging out in the Bug Room... when those bugs fell into the cage, I probably would've torn the screens down as a reflex. :)

The Tiny Bubbles room... sheer perfection. I would've at least moved the bed away from the bubbles if I were Al, though. Maybe even stuff something in the speaker, if he could find it. Ah well.

I counted the blinks again for the "Are you the Mole?" question at the end.

Dorothy and Heather: Two or less.
Bill: Four.

Again, just a thought.

nny 07-23-02 10:22 PM

In the last thread, some people were talking about a phone number that translated into Bill's name, but I couldn't find what they were referencing. Could somebody repeat that clue?

Static Cling 07-23-02 10:28 PM

During the episode in which the players receive a telegram from The Mole, the phone number on the telegram can be translated into something like "Bill is the Mole," if you convert the numbers to letters as they are matched up on a telephone. I believe this was the same episode with the first "morality game," in which the players helped two younger women and one older women who were having car problems.

sinned 07-23-02 10:56 PM

I still think Dorothy is the mole even though she didn't sabotage the game by staying with the cockroaches. Call it gut instinct.

Looks like we won't be hearing from Catch21 for a while :)

clemente 07-23-02 11:00 PM

My picks for the final three and their order are still in tact.
Spoiler:
Heather
is the Mole. Come join me all you
Spoiler:
Al - just throwing in some randoms words to not spoil by sheer brevity of spoiler space
fans.

When he walked around the corner the next morning singing "Tiny Bubbles" I was cracking up.

Remember that he couldn't get off the bed. I suppose he could have tried to push himself while still on the bed though

quackers 07-23-02 11:40 PM

why all the spoiler tags? the quiz gives away any spoiler.

I would of liked to see Al win, especially with a family and all, he was a great player.

But then again its good to see him go so all the Al theorists can go away. No more talk about flashing letters in itALy no more AdmiraL, no more talk about his shoe size.

Can't wait for next week.

Oh yeah it was nice to see Kathryn again.

Catch 21 07-23-02 11:57 PM

I was Wrong. I dont Know who the mole is.

BabiG 07-24-02 12:12 AM

I'm sticking with Heather. Bill is most likely to be the mole based on the evidence and his actions, but if Heather pulls out an upset I get to say "I picked the mole from the beginning!".

I don't think it's that far out a choice though...take a look at how much money she's lost for the team. And she's just so cute, who could accuse her? :)

It's pretty firm in my mind that Dorothy isn't the mole, she really hasn't lost that much money, and has saved them more then once. You could say it's a cover up if the mole does it once, but not that many times. Al most likely focused his answers on her, he made it pretty clear he didn't trust her, and got booted.

Then again...they could throw me for a loop, who knows.

Mark Holtz 07-24-02 12:22 AM

Since someone already created the thread, I'll just leave it as is, although I would titled it "THE MOLE's fun house (7/23)".

Bill is still my #1 suspect for the mole. I just realized that the questions were intended to be misleading for the players. Thus, the quiz asking what the mole's shoe size would have mislead the players, and then they would be basing their answers on Al.

Lets me gather my notes here.....
* First game: Al-Leaders, Heather-Pulse/Ropewalk, Dorothy-Swing for Life. There are also other games where the trio are the only members left of the group.
* The last four players executed were all Ceasar's guards. Ceasar still lives.

Next week's episode is not the final episode, btw.

IIRC, the rule was that he had to sleep on the bed. If he wasn't sleeping, he could do whatever he wanted to the room, unless that was a rule that they didn't mention on the show.

But it wasn't The Mole's fun house... it was Anderson's Funhouse. Or Playhouse. Whatever. :) Next time, start your thread earlier, and we won't have to resort to such tactics. ;)

Well, props to you anyhow for posting in the thread after you were proven wrong.

Jackskeleton 07-24-02 01:25 AM

This is the first time I watched the mole since the first series. I was actually enjoying it a lot. :) damn, to bad I missed a lot already.

Damfino 07-24-02 01:50 AM

I'm sticking with Dorothy as the Mole. I never suspected Al as the mole but I did pick him to win because I thought he was the smartest player.

Predictions:

Winner: Bill
Mole: Dorothy
Runner Up: Heather

tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnyyyyyyyyyyyyy bubbbbbbbbbblllllllllllllllesssssssssssss!
rotfl

Blake 07-24-02 03:01 AM

I didn't read last week's thread, but there was a clue that I was going to post, but forgot.

During the quiz, I've never seen the mouse click and select an answer, but last week (not the Mole's Fun House week), they clicked on an answer. Forgot the question, forgot the answer, but it was a clue...I'm sure of it!

:)

Great ep this week though. It's gotta be Heather as the mole. OK, so I really don't know who it is, but she's just as cute as Kathryn and could easily fly under the radar. But then again, Bill's the trustworthy older man and could easily be the mole...

Al didn't have to sleep but he had to keep most of his body on the bed for the entire night. He was told that the majority of his body had to stay on the bed. Remember Anderson doing all sorts of silly things on the bed with his body saying 'this is considered on the bed'... 'this way you aren't on the bed' (well, something to that effect).

That funhouse was a great idea. Cockroaches, snakes, tiny bubbles.

Bill is my new mole even tho I would have enjoyed seeing Al fool them... he had one of the strongest personalities. Heather can't be the mole with all those giveaways: 'I'm a great liar.' 'I'm very devious.' Too obvious. Bill has had a lot of giveaways, too, but no more than Dorothy so she could easily be the mole.

Dunno... I'm kinda lost here.

IdgIe49 07-24-02 07:12 AM

I stuck with Katie, even after she lost :D but now with last nights episode, Im going with Bill.

Why?

Because. He's retired military, right??? Tiny bubbles is a running cadence. "Tiny Bubbles, in my beer, makes me happy, and full of cheer. I dont know, what youve been toldDdddDDD, but BillLLlLll, is the MoleEeeee." See??? Okay, maybe I'm wrong about Bill, not the song :) , but it sounds good.

JLB 07-24-02 07:48 AM

Yeah Bill looks like he may be it at this point......

However, regarding a clue from last night......

It was not obvious to me that there was one, or at least not as obvious as other nights. But it seemed clear that the maggots were the clue. But I think the clue could have pointed to all three of the remaining contestants:

1) Maggots = bugs = Dorothy in the Bug Chamber

2) Maggots = slithered around in the box = Heather in the slithering snake room

3) (and possibily the most obvious) Maggots = Bill saying I'd eat one for $100,000 = was it not a coincidence that he mentions that amount of money before they were even told how much money the game would have on the line?

I must say, now that we know for sure Al was not the Mole, I am sad to see him go. He was a great player and stuck to his guns throughout the whole game.......

Groucho 07-24-02 08:22 AM

Well, I won't back down as easily as Catch 21. I still say Darwin is the Mole. ;)

JLB 07-24-02 08:28 AM

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Darwin was the Mole....or anyone else that's out....that would screw with the minds of the remaining players if the Mole was out of the "game" but was still there behind the scenes messing with the day to day stuff without their knowledge......

Ditto, but you gotta tell us: Were you truly -- totally -- convinced that Al was the mole, and if so, what did you think when you saw that red thumbprint? You must've been totally flabbergasted...

goofee girl 07-24-02 10:00 AM

Did anyone else notice the subtle nodding that Bill did when he stated that he wasn't the mole? Psychologists say that that would be a clue to lying... his subconcious was telling us that he was saying yes to the answer.

I have so ditched Dorothy as the mole when I thought she could be my second choice a week or two ago.

One last thing... 'food compliments of McD.' (as stated by Anderson). Bill's last name is McDaniels. While Anderson is not supposed to know the identity of the mole until the end he still has some scripts to follow. This is similar to last year's 'Henry paid the Price' cue that Anderson had to say which pointed to Kathryn as the mole last year. Although I don't think that ABC would make this same move it's possible that it could still be the clue for this episode. What do you all think?
