Damn, another TV show I watch bites the dust. at least it had a good run.

Perhaps the last refuge of Dennis Miller will be the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Miller would join the ranks of such legendary comedy shows as "Monty Python's Flying Circus" and "Fawlty Towers" which found an American audience on PBS - PBS is the only American network that can attract an audience sophisticated enough to understand this type of humor.

I'm a big DML fan, and the first I heard of this was during last week's show (Dana Carvey)-- he said something like, "How many jobs can a guy lose in one year?" and something like, "So you're the reason I'm cancelled." I didn't really know what he was talking about, but I got the drift that his show was axed (sorry if someone posted that already-- I didn't sift through every response in the thread yet).

This season's "News" is definitely NOT as funny as earlier seasons. It used to be laugh-out-loud funny, but not so anymore.

Oh well, it was a good run.

Will miss his unhinged interviews and the occasional moments of brilliance that weaved in and out of the monologue rants. I will his off cuff improv and self effacing recoveries from blown lines.
Most of all I will miss THE BIG PICTURE you had a good run Dennis.

I love the show, though his interviews are becoming tough to stomach, especially when anyone from Hollywood was on. It was seven minutes of Miller kissing ass.

Yeah, I'm sure PBS will love to have a show with at least a dozen F bombs in every episode.

Anyway, I loved the show but I agree it had really run its course. Hopefully Dennis will find something good to move on to.

Did anybody catch Dennis Miller on Friday? I thought he was hilarious, he told a joke then just went off direction and started ranting about the red dot on women's foreheads in India.

Also liked another joke he made:

"You hear who's taking over this show, f'n John Madden"
