How many prime time(network tv)animated series have there been?

Flintstones,Jetson's,Top Cat,Rocky & Bullwinkle(????).The Critic,Family Guy,Simpson's and King of the Hill. Can you think of others? Is this something that hasn't been tapped by the networks to replace the lame and old same-ole-same-ole situation comedies?

Futurama and The PJs come to my mind, also that one NBC had for a couple weeks a year or so ago, I forget the title.

Sammy was the very short lived animated series with David Spade.

Did Duckman air on network TV?

I'm pretty sure that was on USA for its first run (And I know it was by partway through the series, due to the Weird Science crossover ep), then Comedy Central...

It seems like there were a ton of prime-time cartoons a while back, but they all bombed horribly so the networks gave up on 'em.

I think Home Movies was on UPN before Adult Swim.

I'm pretty sure you're right.

Baby Blues is another network (can't remember which) flop that wound up on Adult Swim.

Does MTV count? I don't live in the US and don't know what counts as network tv.

Duckman was on USA network, yes.

Baby Blues was on Friday night on WB. That was the same night they were putting on Mission Hill. I recall when WB was planning to do a night of animated programming to counter Fox's Sunday night, but unfortunately it never came to pass.

Dilbert on UPN. Supposed to save a network. One of many bad ideas for UPN.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't paying attention. I saw MTV and USA Network mentioned as I scanned the thread and didn't realize he was asking for just broadcast TV. I was concentrating on the Prime Time part of the question.

I guess you could count the Batman catroon series. FOX had it in primetime for several weeks back in 1992
