There are so many little subgroups, but there's one main one called "The Six" which comprises of Lisa, Josh, Eric, Roddy, Chiara, and Tonya. Gerry thinks he's in another alliance with Josh, but keeps saying that Gerry is an easy vote to control, a pawn. They want Marcellas out first, and then Jason, and are not too crazy about Danielle or Amy.
The Six is shaky...they're obvoiusly sticking together for the first few weeks so they don't get the boot, but I don't see that alliance lasting till week 3.

It's quite obvious why Lisa didn't pick Josh to get the boot (though she should have). It's all about strategy. Granted The Six is shaky now, but if she had taken out Josh "the mastermind" of the The Six, there would have been serious retribution next week. Josh is an idiot, he'll be the first of the six to get his...so why create enemies week 1 when you don't have too.

In addition to the new wrinkle, here's the other part of the wrinkle:

Spoiler:
If you "win" Veto privileges, supposedly you are also out of the running for HoH for the next week. BB is really sticking it to the houseguest this time around. There will be some shockers in the next month, I gar-run-tee!

What's interesting is that it seems the people nominated can also compete in the Veto challenge, which allows them to change their fate for one eviction round.

kilcher 07-13-02 12:39 AM

You know, I was so pissed when she didn't pick Josh. That guy has got to go. But I think she made the right decision. If she had booted him the first week no one would trust her and she'd be the next one gone.

Doing it this way she can work on future head of households to get them to do the dirty work for her. Or if she wins HOH again down the line she can do it then. Right now that would have been too bold (and stupid) of a move. Ok, now I see two posts up someone basically said the same thing. :) Great minds think alike.

I'm impressed with her, she's a smart one. I would have put Josh up against the virgin. Especially considering what she heard through the wall. That kind of move backfired on BB2 though. She knows he's playing them all as puppets and when the time is right she'll be sure everyone knows it.

2 more weeks until I get DSL. I want the live feed. :(

BizRodian 07-13-02 02:56 AM

The black gay guy is hilarious the way he made fun of everyone! I loved that!

Patrick G 07-13-02 06:17 AM

Sorry if this has been asked before, but if you subscribe to the live feeds, do you get any nudity?

Patman 07-13-02 08:33 AM

I don't think so, the CBS operators of the live feeds do a helluva job censoring that stuff by cutting to other camera angles or to the FOTH (Front of the House).

BizRodian 07-13-02 03:46 PM

Well that sucks. Obivously if you're paying for this, then you're an adult, and you know what T&A looks like.

At the same time, it might prevent you from seeing the fat guys naked, so maybe it's worth it?

Patman 07-13-02 08:12 PM

7/13/02 show:

The Veto power does throw a wrench into the mix because the Vetoer paints an even bigger target on their back, and also on the HoH if the Vetoer makes the HoH select another houseguest up for nomination, while protecting the Vetoer for that week from being nominated (unless they are already nominated).

What's interesting is that any houseguest can win the Veto power, with the caveat that if a nominated houseguest wins it, they can only veto the other nominated houseguest's nomination, not themselves; and if the HoH wins, they can remove one of the nomination and put in a new nomination. Any person can go at any week. There's going to be plenty of sucking up for weeks to come, guys and girls!

IdgIe49 07-14-02 08:44 AM

Shouldnt Lori have gotten Gerri out so that Marcelas wouldve won, thus vetoing Lori???

Patman 07-14-02 09:14 AM

Lori still thinks that she's just nomination fodder, and that Marcellas is on the way out, so by putting Gerry in the hot seat, more of both Gerry's and Lisa's cards are shown on the table if Gerry decides to veto one of the 2 nominations.

BTW, I really love this new twist to the game, it adds another layer of lies and deceit and day-to-day strategy.

I gather the most you get is a peek. So far the women have done some topless sunbathing, shared showers, and such. I’m sure there will be brief slips before CBS can cutaway. One of the big selling points of the Euro BB’s (online and TV) was the contestant nudity and sexual dalliances, but we are a different country, that would much rather allude and insinuate and tease. I guess CBS wants to be reality sleazy, but not too reality sleazy. The BB boards post screencaps like crazy anytime there are such scenes, desperately/pathetically hoping to freeze some moment.

Tanaraq 07-14-02 06:42 PM

Can anybody recommend a good BB fan site with a popular message board? Not only for the nudie pics of course but for more indepth Big Brother 3 chat.

Thanks

Jeraden 07-14-02 07:36 PM

Last season Big Brother Fan Club was a good board. Looks like its up again for this new season.

clemente 07-14-02 10:09 PM

I just watched last nights episodes.....I like.
The Veto power is a great twist on the game that should keep things hopping for the time being. I especially liked how everyone who thought they had the entire game already mapped out (fools, don't they know the anything planned the first few weeks is later quickly abandoned!) a nice swift kick in the ass.

big whoppa 07-15-02 02:24 AM

VETO!

Pretty hypocritical if you ask me. But a lot of people don't think the way I do.

Does anyone think Gerry will use his Power of Veto? I think he should nominate Josh. If not look out, he will be another Will.

The person who holds the veto doesnt get to nominate anyone. They can only save someone. The head of houshold has to nominate a new person in their place and it cant be the veto holder.

Spoiler:
Gerry has said he will save Marcellus with his veto but I dont know if he will

Thrush 07-16-02 12:31 AM

Spoiler:
It looks like Gerry saved Marcellus after all. Not sure who will be taking his place though.

kilcher 07-16-02 01:46 AM

Just thought I'd mention I appreciate this discussion since no one in "real life" will admit to watching this show!

Fallen1nxs 07-16-02 10:12 AM

For those who care, Chiara and Lisa applied a peanut butter bikini onto a naked Tonya yesterday.

Will we get to see this on Wednesday night?

clemente 07-16-02 10:46 AM

CBS would be insane not too....ratings baby!

Patman 07-16-02 02:14 PM

Chiara reminds me of Jorja Fox (Sarah on CSI), but with a tan, larger libido, and no buck teeth.
