Tapes of MTV's The State?
 

I'm not sure if it's kosher to bring up the subject, but I've seen tape trading threads for Music before. If not, Mods, feel free to close this down and flog me publicly.

Does anyone have or know of a site where folks are trading tapes of The State from MTV? I've had a number of episodes for some time, but I've looked for a complete set with good quality recording. Anyone?

I'm with you. Somehow, though, I doubt MTV will bother. As they still hold the rights and the majority of 17-year-olds who currently watches MTV have no idea who they are, it's not worth it to them. Plus, the group itself has no money to acquire the rights or release anything. I think we're doomed to trading boards for now.

The Digital Archive Project, at www.dapcentral.org, is a group that is archiving various television shows, including The State. I suggest poking around there.
