Bill Walton on NBA on NBC is horrible

He must be the worst basketball announcer ever. I can hardly listen to him because he is so negative. He spends 75% of his airtime ragging on players and making overly-critical statements. Plus, he is inconcsistent in what he says as a whole. Does anyone like him?

The weekly "I Hate Bill Walton" thread. I say this in every thread. While a complete idiot, he's a cartoon and can laugh at himself, and as such, I don't think he's the worst announcer in the game. He's REALLY REALLY bad, but there are plenty of announcers who say just as many stupid things on the air but genuinely believe they know what they're talking about. I hate listening to Walton, but in all fairness, I'd rather listen to his lame schtick than jokers like P.J. Carlissimo or Brent Mussberger.

i'd also like to add that while i think bill walton is horrible, his commentary is actually pretty funny when you put him next to someone like steve snapper jones or sometimes marv albert because 90% of the time, they rebuke almost everything Bill says and he spends the next few minutes trying to prove his points. however bill walton by himself, like for a few clipper games that i saw last year, sucks.

Bill Walton makes me sick to listen to. I think the worst is when he called his Son's games in the NCAA Tournament in 2001. I remember thinking about the how at least we do not have to listen to Walton for College games and then bang he shows up. He tries to put too much drama in his calls. Like "Oh this is the biggest shot in game" with 2 minutes left in the half. I hate him, I can not see why he is still employed.

Bill Walton disagreed with EVERY single call in either game 1 or 2 of this series between Mavs and Kings...he either needs to buy the league and replace the refs...OR JUST SHUT UP! Listening to him try to talk through his HUGE horse teeth make me wanna jab a fork in my ears...

NO MORE NO MORE!

walton is like socrates compared to crapper jones. He never gives the Lakers any credit- never- he still believes Kobe is nothing special. Walton is all over shaq's jock because he loves big men. It's funny yoiu can feel snapper's hatrid of the Lakers because he use to be in the trailblazers orginization. Walton won a ring with Portland yet he's objective except in regards to Shaq

Walton is the only reason I watch basketball. He may not be that good, but better than what is being played on the court.

Only Walton could make a comment like that.
