Batman Marathon on TVLAND starts next week!

Holy Bat-Thread Batman!

The 1960s series starring Adam West and Burt Ward is starting on TVLAND next week!

TVLAND has finally put up a bat-page:
http://www.tvland.com/shows/batman/

Check out the marathon's schedule here:
http://www.tvland.com/shows/batman/marathon/

The marathon will showcase a villian each night.
Monday: The Ridder
Tuesday: The Penguin
Wednesday: Catwoman
Thursday: King Tut
Friday: The Joker

These will all be two part episodes from the first and second seasons. Sadly, no third season episodes with Yvonne Craig in her Batgirl suit

Hopefully after the marathon, TVLAND will air all the episodes in order. Here's hoping.

I'm hoping they won't be edited for time to fit more commercials. In the past, when TVLAND would get a show the first (and sometime first few) airings would be left alone. I know it's not likely to happen, but you never know.

If they do edit, I hope they use the edits they used on SciFi channel, they were different edits than when they were on the Family Channel and fX.

Whoa, deja vu...haven't we had this discussion?

And judging by the response of both threads, you and I will be the few that will watch.
That's okay, I like cheese.

Yes I thought we did hehh.

Also, I will add that regular Nickelodeon will be airing some episodes (for this airing they are all third season which of course had the addition of Yvonne Craig as Batgirl):

Batman - "Enter Batgirl, Exit Penguin"
NIK, Sun Apr 28 09:00pm EDT

Batman - "The Wail of the Siren"
NIK, Sun Apr 28 09:30pm EDT

Batman - "Catwoman's Dressed to Kill"
NIK, Sun Apr 28 10:00pm EDT

Batman - "Louie, the Lilac"
NIK, Sun Apr 28 10:30pm EDT

I don't know if this will be a Sunday Nick habbit since I don't have listings for the week after.

Nick is having Sunday marathons again. I just saw the commercial last night and it looks similar to what TVLand does-the episodes have a common 'link". I don't know how many weeks these marathons will run, so it could be the only Batman one.

In case anyone cares

It looks to me as if they are using the same edits that the SciFi channel did. They are at times better than the previous Fam/FX edits.

Here is what I noticed:

On Nick:
Enter Batgirl , Exit Penguin ... when Batgirl tells Batman she thought they could handle the fight but wanted to join in the fun, they cut out Batman's speech to her on how crime fighting is a serious thing.

Wail of the Siren ... some added length to scenes

Louie the Lilac ... they cut Princess Primrose slowly coming out of the basket, they cut short another scene with Primrose and Louie, but added a scene I had never seen before with Primrose and Louie so that was cool.

Then of course on all of them they kept the original endings that previewed what villain was coming up next that Fam/FX never aired.

Catwoman eps last night

OMG was Catwoman hot!

The suit and everything in it especially, but also the voice, the eyes, the attitude. I couldn't turn it off last night. She had to have been every 60's teenager's masturbatory fantasy.
