Is SciFi Channel being hacked?

This has happened at least a couple of times. The show is playing (in this case B5 on Wednesday) and for a brief moment there is a scene with two guys in a jungle or forest – maybe ˝ second worth. The program’s sound continues as if nothing has happened and then the regular video returns. It seems to be the same “clip” each time it happens.

No, it’s not my imagination. Got it on tape. Got witnesses: my wife and my doggie.

Anybody else catch this? Is there an explanation?

I think it's a well established certainty that there are nothing but untrained monkeys running around pressing random buttons in their control room. It's a miracle anything gets aired to begin with.

The least they could do is hire trained monkeys like yourself...

Shh... don't tell anyone... but after recent programming decisions, I sent some friends of mine over there. Not the brightest group of monkeys, but they're loyal and like to break stuff. All I asked them to do was throw feces at Bonnie Hammer, but they seem to have a mind of their own.

Hey!! SOME of us still watch that channel. Although, admittedly, not too often.

I have the whole Puppetmaster series on Betamax, so I have no need for the channel.

P.S. What did you think of the finale to The Chronicle?

...and you've got the Beatles catalog on 8-track, right?

I think they should have gone with the conspiracy angle and exposed the boss as some kind of alien originally in league with the devil but who's had a change of heart and decided to fight the good fight. Toss him in the slammer and turn the paper over to Tribune.

My only problem is, will anybody remember to tell Sol that the place is closed down? Or is he still down there snorting truffles?

And Strange World has my boring meter pegged. B5 is about the only thing left that I’m watching. Gotta find a new schedule for Fridays. I don’t think I can handle watching “Darmok” one more time.

Somebody report this post for lack of spoiler tags…

Haha... I'm certain you and I are the only two people who watch that show, and really I'm not even "people" so ...

As for Sol, that's their "out" if they're picked up by someone else. He'll lead a revolt along with those mutants he released from that scientist. We'll find out that those tunnels run beneath the entire city (he may even run into Angel). It will be glorious.

As for Strange World, major yawn. I should TiVo it to watch in the evenings when I can't sleep.

I know what you mean. Puts me to sleep every time.

Oh, you meant...

...never mind.

I guess your TiVo doesn't know about your boycott, yes??

I said "should" - the channel has been removed from mu "Channels You Receive" list. TiVo knows all.

I'm pretty sure it is hackers and they are trying to find a way to make sci-fi a watchable network.

You know, there is so much these people could put on, but they seem to have their lame meter pegged in the red.

Shouldn't that be the Outer Limits theme, Benedict? (Admittedly, I was too lazy to click on the link and am just judging by the file name...)

It's called Wacky Clones: The Early Years and stars the versatile Bonnie Hammer. They'll be pushing the last 4 episodes of Farscape back 16 months to air the 48 part miniseries. I for one cannot wait!
