the west wing 3/27
finally a new west wing :) this had maybe one of the funniest subplots in the history of the show with josh vs. www.lemon/lyman.com. the conclusion where cj let him have it was really funny.
i don't know that i was too interested in the whole poet laureute subplot. it just kinda seemed to me that this was one of AS's pet projects that he wanted to get in there rather then a legit story. also it was good to see cj vs. the press corps for 4 days about the president's 'slip up'. one bad thing is that i wish that they would have more of charlie. every since the quit putting zoe on, his screen time has gone down alot. :( |
the poet subplot was kind of lame, but wasn't she from jurassic park? I agree it was just AS pushing his political agenda
I realize this show will have a lot of democrat positions but I didn't like the way this one was shoved down or throat the ending with CJ and the pres was interesting charlie rules, we nee dmore charlie and cj said 'old skool' wonder if it was broadcast in Australia, and if so did desmond see it http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=195294 from the preview Spoiler:

I really liked the Poet Laureate plot -- it struck me less as a preachy thing, and more like a chance for Toby to have a nice romantic moment with a good actress. Besides, the President's position of not signing the land mine treaty made the most sense, so if anything, the episode was fairly moderate on the land mines. If they were liberal tonight, it was more on the Alaskan pipeline stuff... |
But they were pretty conservative about not wanting to deal with the Middle East anymore. You'd never have heard Clinton talk like that.

Well I think the overall US view of the Middle East has changed quite substantially since Clinton left office. Good episode. Good to see an appearance from Ainsley. I loved Sam's comment: "Ainsley Hayes...She's just to the right of the Kaiser." The lemon-Lyman stuff was hilarious. Great ending with CJ and the Pres. |

Ainsley Hayes (Emily Procter) is going to be part of the cast of csi: mami.

Damn! I was hoping Ainsley would become a regular cast member. I guess she'll be gone for good :(

What a great episode. I love this show.

wow, i am surprised that cbs is already getting a spinoff of csi this early in its run. usually doesn't it take a few seasons to get a spin off? i will definately miss ainsley but maybe this will give AS an opportunity to get sam back together with mallory. :)
