Finally a new Ed tonight

I know this show has at least a couple fans here at dvdtalk. Just thought I'd post a reminder that there's actually a new one on tonight. Kind of nice, considering it's been off the air two weeks in a row.

About time :)

Ed? What's Ed? Oh, yeah, my other favorite show (other than Gilmore Girls) that the networks have put on long breaks. I thought the last new Ed-isode was pretty sub-par (the one about the trucking company & Carol's short story)... however, Ed has set the bar pretty high in my mind. Hopefully we'll get a better one tonight.

Yeah, I remember them advertising that the rest of the episodes this month are all new. In fact both of them were new. Argh.

Static Cling 03-27-02 01:40 PM

Yeah, I should've smelled the BS on that ad the first time I saw it.

ed 3/27

first of all, WOO HOO!!! ed is finally back. after two weeks off i was going into withdrawals. some good things about this episode included firstly no denny! and through this we got to see ed and carol spend some time together which i think was long overdue. they haven't had much time together since the season premiere and i think that judging by some of the things that were said and some of the glances that were shared that maybe we might not have to wait as long as we thought for those two to get together, especially with the obvious denny storyline that is coming up (at least i think it's obvious).

and the bit with dr. jerome going into 'dr. handdsome's' office had me rotfl

How did they convince the judge to get back to work? I had to do something at that crucial part of the episode. I came back, and all was well.

Phil's auditioning of those "performers" and his comments to Kenny were classic.

Why does Ed almost always calls Carol: "Carol Vessey".

Spoiler:
His grandson, who had just been drafted or signed by the Cincinatti Reds, was in an accident and lost the use of his legs. Ed and Carol find the grandson and Ed asks him for his help in talking to his grandfather and asking him not to give up. They end up taking him to the cabin, then all returns to normal.

Triple A! Triple A!
Superman! Superman!

Thanks! No wonder the judge was in such a foul mood.

Does Julie Bowen smoke? I didn't realize how husky her laugh is until she was laughing at getting Ed all muddied up when the SUV was stuck in the mud.
