NBC 75th Anniversary

Was watching West Wing tonight -- when they ran credits, BNC ran promo talking about stars from past NBC shows showing up on current series -- a few that could be interesting:

* Cast of St Elsewhere on Scrubs

* Cast of Hill Street Blues on Third Watch

* Cheers Reunion on Frasier

Might turn out to be stupid stunt casting -- but those old shows were some of my favorites -- could be good if done right

2 dramas from my already listed top 5
1 comedy from my already listed top 5

Frasier is tired and Third Watch is derivative, but who cares ... we're talking about 3 of the greatest shows ever. I'll be watching.

I would like to see Caroline and Richard from Caroline in the City walk into Central Perk on Friends. And hey how about Kirsite Ally guesting on Frasier, but not as Rebecca but as Veronica Chase? :)

Yeah, cuz Caroline and Veronica's Closet are the shows that made NBC the giant it is today. :D :D

Of course, hey I am still pissed about the Caroline series finale. Not to mention they didn't even air Veronica's Closet's series finale. I think the president of NBC even joked about canceling Veronica and Suddenly Susan I remember reading. I can understand the jokes for Susan (and her series finale was suck so I can see why NBC would want to trash it).

Did I mention NBC needs to burn for leaving Caroline in the City up in the air with not giving it another season? Bad..... Bad..... Bad NBC. Which is why if they walk in Central Perk we will know what happened between Richard and Caroline. :D

Eternia: Hey.. I stopped watching Caroline in its last season. Can you breifly recap what the hell happened?

BTW, Amy Pietz ruled! Too bad they had to move the show to a stupid office.

das: Alas, another show I gave up on this season. Who does she play?

BTW, what the hell is Leah Thompson doing these days? That Back to the Future sequel ain't coming. She was great in Howard the Duck, though. ;-)

what night will the Fraser/Cheers reunion be on?

Ally's daughter's Aunt. She had a major role in the episode that introduced the daughter, and she's been in a few subsequent episodes. And if you're at all unsure ... she's still hot. :)

Ok I guess I should put this in spoiler tags just in case...

Oh and,
I agree about Amy Pietz. Here is what happened in Caroline's forth and last season...

Spoiler:

In the 3rd season finale, I believe that the producers thought that Caroline was not going to get a green light for another season. It ended with Richard telling Caroline he is getting divorced from Julia. This is an elecator scene in the hallway and that common elevator lady is there. Richard and Caroline have their first kiss, elevator lady: "It's about time!"

Now the 4th season picks up right there. Richard and Caroline are now a couple. The show has a lot more office scenes now and I don't think Remo's was ever mentioned again. Annie gets fired from Cats. Caroline and Richard do the nasty. Caroline has her 2000th comic strip. Caroline and Richard visit Caroline's parents, Caroline kisses this other dude Randy, Richard gets mad, then everything is back to ok. Ok just a lot of filler episodes, then the two part series finale. Richard finds out he has a kid now, Julia just had a baby in Italy. Richard tells Caroline he has to go because he doesn't want to repeat what his father did to him, he also tells Caroline that he won't want any more kids. Caroline and Richard break up and Richard goes to Italy to be with the baby. Meanwhile back in the apartment building, Annie and Del start having sex no strings attached. Ok then in the 2nd part we get the "6 months later". Richard sees Charlie rollarskating through Italy. Charlie accidently mentions Caroline is getting married. Ok at the wedding scene Caroline's mother is telling her where all the exits are incase she wants to split. She is getting married to Randy. Walks down the isle. Then there is the line "If anyone objects, forever hold your piece, blah blah" and a baby starts crying. Caroline looks up and in the rafters there is Richard holding the baby (oh he now loves being a father so would probably want more children, he basically takes care of the baby, Julia is always traveling). They flash the camera from Richard to Caroline, etc, and then that it the end.

I am very dumb :) I thought you meant that you saw a promo that said NBC will be celebrating its 75th and you thought it would be cool if these things happened, like a Cheers reunion. I didn't think these events were actually happening lol. I re-watched Watching Ellie the other day to transfer it from the TIVO to VHS and saw the commercial. I must have just been missing this promo lol. Anyway --- awesome that a Cheers reunion is going to happen on Frasier!

CHEERS stars John Ratzenberger, Rhea Perlman, and George
Wendt will guest star on the April 30th episode of FRASIER.

Whats gonna happen (briefly)
Spoiler:

The episode will have Frasier returning to Boston to
convince mailman Cliff not to retire and move away,
much to the dismay of Carla and Norm.

Oh this sucks. I wanted a full reunion or at least have Rebecca there!
