Simpsons 3.17.02
Simpsons is off to a great start tonight
Spoiler:
|
The river Styx was pretty funny. The Joan of Arc part wasn't that great, but overall its a good episode.
|
"I’ll blow them off… course."
"Discuss Stu is talkin' to you." |
victory, this is France, we don't even have a word for that (or something like that) :p
That was one of the best episodes I've seen in a few weeks, I think the odessy story was my favorite, but lisa was a great Ophelia :D |
Yea, Discus stew was good.
Oh and in Joan of arc, when the one of the english guys gets hit with an arrow..."AHHHHHHHHHHHHHohmyword!" |
Loved Hamlet and making fun of the French. Odyssey was pretty good too.
das |
"When people get wood, they'll always think of Trojans"
good line River Styx was good too. With Styx music playing..."Now I know we're in hell" |
good episode
|
My local FOX station decided to run a news promo right during the end of the first story (the Homer's Oddessey). I never saw the ending, but I did learn that at 10, I can learn about the history of St. Patrick's Day!
|
Good episode, but couldn't they think of any way to end it? That ending was lame and pointless.

These three part story-telling episodes have sort of become a tradition. They had the bible stories, tall tales, and this one. I can't recall if that's all of them.

The line that mad me laugh the most tonight was when Moe said to Bart in the Hamlet story:
"You sure you don't want a nice piece of fish, or finger the drapes a little." |
Originally posted by Numanoid Arrgh! Tivo cut off the ending...can someone please post what happened right after the last story ended (back in the living room, Homer begins to speak, then my Tivo stops). Thanks in advance. |
Didn't care for the ending but I really like these type of episodes.
The writers get a break and get to have some fun with other classic literature and we get to see which characters get which roles. These are fun and slightly educational (gasp!) But they aren't the funniest episodes. |
Can anyone tell me what Marge said after eating the page from the book? Something about it didn't taste as bad as ........video?
I was laughing so hard during this episode I missed that. |
I thougher her quote was posted above, but I couldnt find it.
she said something like "well, it tasted better than that Bambie video." |

Thanks guys, I feel dumb. I was hoping it was something funnier than that, though.
|
I thought Marge's was pretty funny in the context of what she was doing.
Supposedly hiding scarry, or violent story events from the kids. |
But-- but-- this episode had a major flaw! After Homer returned from the Odessy, he tells Mar-- uh, Penelope, that he's going to Moes. But Homer ATE Moe YEARS ago! Man, someone's going to get fired over that!
