whats the deal.. they cut off the chalkboard scene in the opening?!?!?!?!

i think they may have done that to get an extra bit of time for showing the star wars trailer at 3 before 9 after malcom

Good episode, but not as funny as tonight's Futurama.

I don't think this is the first time that's happened. I recall reading that when the episode goes longer than usual, they will cut the intro short.
This is the first episode I can remember that didn't jump around from one crazy situation to another, if you can believe that going to Branson made sense. Not too many big laughs from where I was sitting. Did think that the "Old man yells at cloud" thing was funny. |

I could not stop laughing during the first 3 minutes with Homer's love for the XFL (It might be because of the fact that I pretend love the XFL as a joke, but either way it's still fantastic)

At least it wasn't an embarassing episode.

Pretty much tailed off at the end after a promising beginning. They keep getting away from what made/makes the Simpsons so great -- multiple plots. The best episodes always have one main plot line with one or two other stories going on in the background. Now they're just getting wacky.

The XFL joke was probably the best one in the show. It was an okay episode, but maybe the Simpsons has finally run out of gas?

Did anyone else notice that the quality of animation is below what it was at the beginning of the season? What's the deal? They got cheaper animators?

I vaguely remember this commercial.

I found the whole Branson subplot very funny. Probably moreso than many people, because I've actually been there a few times (my wife's grandparents live there). I've never seen any of the shows though. I can tell you that Yakov does indeed have his own theater!

It was an ok episode, but they're not as good as they used to be. I mean, what was up with that stupid NSync episode???? plus, I can't believe they slammed John Woo!!! one of the greatest directors of action! nuts! nuts I say!

It wasn't as good as some of the episodes in this season, but it wasn't the worst. There were several moments that made me laugh. I still think the simpsons is a good show, even though some of the episodes aren't very good.

The line that cracked me up for some unknown reason was:
Homer - "You sunk my Scrabbleship" I also laughed out loud at the little kid/mother exchange in Bronson: Kid - Hey Ma, I want a cookie. Mother - No dice. Kid - This AINT over! This episode had a feel to it like the old classic season 4 and 5 episodes. |
It was a very funny episode. The Simpsons will only "run out of gas" when Homer decides he is better off doing feature films leaving Marge to break in 2 rookies while trying to raise a child and continue solving paranormal FBI cases and....uh.....Oh, whoops, wrong show. Nevermind.
