Alias 3/10

New episode tonight along with a guest appearance by Roger Moore!!! :)

I'd call this a "breather" episode, but there was so much packed into it.

It was pretty cool to hear Roger Moore's voice engaged in the world of spies, I swear I even heard some of the James Bond theme when he first showed up. Quite the double-cross he put on Arvin, who's seriously going to get more and more pissed about the detente with Kasanov and the Alliance.

Sidney's getting tested for being the Prophecy was a bit X-File-like. Having Lindsay Crouse play the wacky DSR lead was cool, I half-way expected Riley Finn (Buffy) to show up.

Stephen (Joey Slotnick) is one I'd like to slap around, what a promotion hound he is.

Emily Sloane seemed to let on that she knows what Arvin does. It was all in her eyes.

The whole Will and Francee thing was a little out of the blue, but as long as it keep them off Sidney's back, I guess that's good.

The Vatican break-in (okay, had to roll my eyes on this one) was a bit far-fetched, but when you gotta know, ya gotta know.

Next week even looks more interesting (How do they keep us on the edge of our seats).

Spoiler:
Oooh....next week sounds so great. Past and future should be quite shocking.

Sloane tasted the bitterness of betrayal. I almost want to laugh.

Great show. I watched with more interest than I have when I watch most movies that are released these days.

Spoiler:
I thought the double cross was way too obvious and found it odd that Sloane would buy it on the basis of the "evidence" presented. I guess I can justify his falling for it so easily because he's so bent on revenge but still the guy recruited him.

Glad to see the phoney 47th page was finally discovered. I don't quite get how they expected it to pass mustard (if in fact they ever did).

I'm not sure how I'm going to like this Prophecy storyline but so far the show hasn't disappointed me.

Emily's illness has preoccupied Arvin's attention, and being reminded of having his finger cut off makes a person want retribution a whole lot sooner.

Loved the way Roger Moore's character played Arvin like a chump.

Spoiler:
Am I the only one who thinks bringing in a woo-woo element to this show is ill-advised? (It's of course not out of place in The X-Files or Buffy the Vampire Slayer but it seems out of place to me in this show.)

Now if it all turns out to be some elaborate hoax and all these "brilliant" people are falling for it, that I'd like.

Patman 03-11-02 11:24 AM

The writers are probably doing to us, the viewers, what Roger Moore's character did to Arvin. :)

Spoiler:
I love how Sydney's handler just sat there and stuff, then he broke out in his italian. You can tell he wanted to wisk out some words there.

Arvin is a chump. But I can tell you this, anyone who shoots his friend like that after showing him the baby pic. OMG! Cold! Very cold. For some reason I think Emily will be revived. I think she has something to do with the Prophecy.

She has to know what Arvin is doing, no one can be married to someone that long and have the relationship they have without knowing.

Gotta love Roger Moore. HAHAHA, Arvin is going to kicks his ass!
