Anyone remember the James Bond Jr. cartoon?

It was probably on 10 or so years ago. I remember watching it every morning before school. Ahhh, those were the days...

But can you sing the theme song?

Bond
James Bond Jr.
No one can stop him
But S.C.U.M. always tries
But young Bond cuts through
Each web of spies
He learned the game from his Uncle James
Now he's heir to the name
James Bond
(Bond)
James Bond Jr.
Look out he's coming through
He's got a job to do
While he rescues the girl
James Bond Jr chases S.C.U.M.
(James Bond Jr chases S.C.U.M.)
Around the world!

I use to watch the show, had some of the action figures. I have the first episode on tape. It is sitting about two feet away from me heh.

:( omg, was it actually 10 years ago?

the show sucked but i watched it anyway probably because it was either that or watching power rangers.

Eternia 03-04-02 07:29 PM

More like 14 years ago.

James Bond Jr was out in 1988 and lasted 1 season.

Power Rangers debuted in 1993 and is now in its 10th season. :) It's morphin time!

That is such a tragedy. :( They get rid of the good shows like M.A.S.K, G.I. Joe, and Silverhawks, but they keep on crap like the Power Rangers for a decade. What is wrong with the children's television industry.

Speaking of children's television, how come there are no cartoons on the major networks on Saturday mornings anymore? I see cartoons on FOX Kids (which airs on a WB affiliate here) and ABC still shows some cartoons. But I remember as a kid waking up on Saturday mornings, getting a bowl of cereal, going into the living room and sitting in from of the T.V. watching cartoons. The Smurfs and Kid Video on NBC, and Space Ace and Pole Position on CBS. What the hell happened?

Power Rangers is good. I'm 19 and still watching. :) Time Force (last season) had some great story lines and the very hot Erin Cahill. :D I hated GI Joe and Silverhawks as a kid. I also hated Transformers. I was a fan of Masters of the Universe, Inspector Gadget, Ninja Turtles, and the all mighty Power Rangers. Power Rangers is the #1 kids show and best selling action figure of the decade. Power Rangers is still on because it is what the kids want. Saban was very smart when he kept changing the series every year after the three seasons of Mighty Morphin (he keeps with the Super Sentai in Japan). Kids don't get tired of it because a new series comes out every year with new villians and new characters. GI Joe and even Masters of the Universe got boring, it was the same old stuff. (However, MOTU is coming back later this year - AWESOME!) Not to mention "Power Rangers" aka Sentai in Japan has been going strong over 25 years.

As for cartoons in the morning... Fox, UPN, and WB! all have their own shows they air in my area. Until recently, CBS also had cartoons on in the morning. ABC has the DIsney One Saturday Morning. Not to mention now there are Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and ToonDisney! Most people have cable today and kids can watch cartoons 24/7.

When I was littlier the staple I remember with cartoons was the USA Cartoon Express. Much more choices these days.

1 out of 3 ain't too bad, I guess.

So did James Bond have a brother named James too, or did he adopt the kid and was egotisical enough to rename him?

You need some taste, my friend. M.A.S.K. and Silverhawks were never good.

And as for what happened to children's television, it became unprofitable.

I was wondering this myself. Appartently Bond has a sister. The sister has a boy. Since Bond has no children, and his sister does, the sister's son can take the name Bond because he will be the last living Bond. Something like that. My friend said it is old English rule or something to that effect.
