Colin Quinn Gets His Own Show

On Monday, March 11, NBC will debut its new live comedy series starring former Saturday Night Live star Colin Quinn. Appropriately titled The Colin Quinn Show, the half-hour sketch comedy will air live (on the East Coast) at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. NBC has only scheduled three installments of the series (March 11, 18 and 25) as of now.

Why not a show for Kari Wuhrer? She was my favorite thing about Remote Control, not to mention puberty

You got that right. The only funny thing about Weekend Update with him was seeing how bad his jokes flopped and how he would only embarass himself further trying to compensate!

Boy, that is going to be a horrible show. Of course, this means that it will probably run for 10 seasons.

Does anyone find Colin Quinn funny? He ruined Weekend Update the entire time he was on it. So many good shows being cancelled and this guy gets his own series? There is no justice in the world.

so did anyone watch this show? i always thought quinn probably made a better writer than a performer. he always looked so uncomfortable in front of the camera. he seemed to be a bit better tonight though. there were some pretty good laughs, although i wonder if the show will last. a lot of the stuff they commented on was pretty true, but also the kind of racial stuff that usually gets shows in trouble.

i loved the 2 black guys in the office, talking about denzel washington behind the white guy's back. i had a similar experience the other day.

It was a hit or miss, but I applaud the effort. Someone needs to make fun of the way we've been acting lately, and for the most part, they did a pretty good job. It was great to see Cheri Oteri again, and most of the supporting cast seemed to be interesting. I'll definitely watch it again.

i missed the show.. kindof just dismissed it ahead of time, because I figured it had no chance

but the guy on the radio kept going on and on about how funny it was.. and they played several minutes of the show on the radio this morning..

damn, it was funny!!

I guess Ill have to actually check the next one out

the humor was sooooooo un pc.. but funny enough to keep it from really being all that offensive (in my opinion)

I saw it and the best part was the town meeting....

Arab guy - "I keep getting "randomly" checked each time I board a plane."
Colin Quin - "Good"

And the laughter insued......

I thought the show was very funny. But then again, I never had a problem with Colin as the Weekend Update anchor either. The WU jokes bomb all the time (no matter who's the anchor).

I'm not a huge fan of CQ, but I watched it and enjoyed it. I actually laughed out loud a couple times, which is rare for me. I will definately watch it again, though I don't expect it will last long - at least not in its current state. How far can they go on racial jokes? I doubt the network would let them go very far, even if they could.
This might be something better suited to Comedy Central.

I only saw the Town Meeting (RAW was on!), but it was good for quite a few laughs. I'll probably check it out again....if it doesn't conflict with Raw, of course.

Honk!

I turned on the channel by mistake. I was flipping thru the channels because I didn't want to watch Becker.

This show was so horrid. I'm sorry, I found it so stupid it was not even funny. Bad...... bad ........ Bad show. I do not see this lasting, but then again, they usually keep the stuff I don't like, and trash the stuff I like, so who knows?
