Red Dog 02-14-02 04:09 PM

The Simpsons - up through season 7 anyway.

Gdrlv 02-14-02 04:13 PM

Far and away, the Simpsons.

hotaru_san 02-14-02 04:24 PM

the simpsons :D

Eternia 02-14-02 04:25 PM

Is this shows that have already gone off the air? I mean, you don't list Friends or Frasier.

I vote for Frasier.

If they are ones off the air, then Home Improvement and Caroline in the City.

mmconhea 02-14-02 04:37 PM

How could you leave The Simpsons out of the poll? Did you not watch TV in the 90's?

I vote for "Friends", also a show that didn't make your cut of less-than-stellar 90's sitcoms. ;)

The list is ones that are already off the air. Rather than list Friends, Frasier, Simpsons, & others in both 90s & 2000s I opted to list them in 2000s thread since they are still on. Sorry for the mix up. You can vote for those here in others or vote in the 2000 thread.

JonTurner 02-14-02 05:26 PM

I'm sorry, but no Seinfeld on the list?!?!?!?

This cannot be!

Robert 02-14-02 07:00 PM

Seinfeld, hands down. Michael Richards is a physical comedy genius. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

Mopower 02-14-02 08:41 PM

Seinfeld isn't on the list??? WTF you commie! Thats the greatest show ever made!

Damfino 02-14-02 08:58 PM

Another "other" vote for Seinfeld!

oh, Don't forget NewsRadio.

Tesiae 02-14-02 11:34 PM

Bundy, Al Bundy.

I don't know, but Married With Children was best in the early seasons, late 80's early 90's, after that, it turned to crap.

Two episodes stand out:

The one where Santa sky dived right into the Bundy's backyard...

and

The one where Al keeps falling off the roof.

cynthia 02-15-02 12:03 AM

Definitely, NewsRadio. Now, where are my DVDs? :D

madcougar 02-15-02 12:24 AM

Seinfeld

Agreed, one of my favorite episodes was the Christmas one with Sam Kinison! :D

Copenhagen 02-15-02 01:17 AM

Morf 02-15-02 07:41 AM

Seinfeld. Duh.

Rascal 02-15-02 08:14 AM

Well, I will vote for other, because, well, that list didn't inspire anything. I really enjoy Frasier, and Everybody Loves Raymond. I'll look for those in the other thread.

Geofferson 02-15-02 09:51 AM

The Simpsons and The Wonder Years

grunter 02-15-02 11:00 AM

ROSEANNE!!!

I deem this poll invalid without a listing for Roseanne.

Best. Sitcom. Ever.

"Becky - did you ever know that you're my hero?"
"Sure Darlene - and you're the wind beneath my wings . . ."

twikoff 02-15-02 11:27 AM

Simpsons are still my #1

home improvement was great too

Jericho 02-15-02 11:31 AM

Defintely Seinfeld and The Simpson would be at the top. But I did enjoy the short lived John Laraquette show. I'll always remember the one where John and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell are riding in a car listening to "Kill Whitey"

lorenzoh 02-15-02 12:18 PM

Simpsons and Southpark.

immortal_zeus 02-15-02 12:35 PM

In Living Color

grunter 02-15-02 01:05 PM

Just because "The Simpsons" is a half-hour long doesn't automatically brand it a "sitcom." I always see sitcoms as the "one-act" plays of television. All the characters are confined to one set for the bulk of the show.

"The Simpsons" transcends the sitcom because it isn't about a set group of characters in a single room cracking wise to each other. Sure Bart's always been 10 years old - but the scope of the whole show goes beyond Bart's misadventures in the fourth grade.

I dunno. I'm just rambling here. The curry from lunch is still settling.

TruGator 02-15-02 03:46 PM

how can seinfeld not be on that list?!?!

seinfeld all the way!

Vampyr 02-15-02 07:23 PM

Married with Children

geoffkin 08-21-03 03:11 PM

Another vote for IN LIVING COLOR!!!

No way to get them on DVD or Tape yet?!?!?!?!

You'll laugh so hard you'll split your pants!

Groucho 08-21-03 03:22 PM

"In Living Color" was a variety show, not a sitcom.

I'm surprised they don't rerelease them on DVD as "In Living Color...starring JIM CARREY and JENNIFER LOPEZ!"

Morf 08-21-03 03:55 PM

Seinfeld. Der.

Spooky 08-21-03 05:58 PM

SEINFELD!

Second best comedy of all time, IMHO (Cheers is my favorite)
