Why is the Justice League only 23 minutes long?

Why is the Justice League only 23 minutes long?

Is it expensive to make?

You answered your own questions. Animation is obviously more expensive than live action. And animation of Justice League's caliber is extremely expensive.

All sitcoms are only 22 minutes.

No shows are filmed for 30 minutes. The commercials take up the rest of the time.

Eternia...the show ends 23 minutes after it begins and that includes commercials.

Uh, I really don't think that the animated version of Justice League would be more expensive than a live-action version. That's just talkin' crazy.

It would depend on the production values of the live action show. It costs 1 million dollars per episode to produce the Simpsons. Where as a low brow "action" series such as Mutant X can be made for about 8 bucks.

I agree, since too the storylines have been very lacking IMO, they must be saving a lot of money by not getting good writers?

Justice League seems short because there's only one commercial break during the show. Most network programs have three commercial breaks. Cartoon Network prefers having the majority of their commercials air between shows, not during them.
