Agreed. A pretty cool episode. Scott Bakula is one lucky son of a gun. Next week's preview looks great and we get to see a smile from T'Pol. Those lips drive me crazy

This, imho, was the best show in a long while. FINALLY a show that brings in other storylines and shows longterm consequences to previous actions. Good twists and enjoyable humor.

As Archer and T'pol tried to undo their bonds after being captured, they fall over, with Archer on bottom and his face buried in them thar hills. He was in no hurry to be rescued at that point....

Gratuitous slapstick scene.

If I had been posting during this it would have gone something like this:

N’Pol’s recalled?

Woo-hoo!!

N’Pol’s dead?

Woo-hoo!!!

N’Pol’s NOT gone???

Boo-hoo!!!!

Actually, a pretty good episode. However, I’m still having a problem with emotional, lying, illogical, militaristic Vulcans.

Plus the planet they were on (Coridan) figures prominently in a TOS episode (one of my favorites - Journey to Babel).

I literally LOL when Archer landed on his backside, and his head was buried N'Pol's breastage. Sometimes it's good to be the captain! After that, I don't remember much of the rest of the episode.

Cool ep. Very fun. Next week looks like one of "those" episodes--someone's gonna watch, wondering what happened to the Enterprise and why the show is ending, and we all KNOW at the end it's gonna be some multisyllabic excuse of a deus ex machina.

Jeffrey Combs is made for these comic con type roles. When he was asked why he was helping the crew and he says, “I haven’t been sleeping well” with his classic Reanimator delivery I was cracking up.
He’s still got it.

He's an old high school aquaintance... Other friends who know him better say that he was mighty disppointed/upset when Peter Jackson changed his mind at the last minute and didn't cast him as Wormtongue in LOTR, switching to Brad Dourf instead...

I really like it that their actions are having some long term consequences, and that they're not as perfect as the starfleet of the 'future'. Would have been interesting if N'Pol had gone back to Vulcan to face a tribunal.

I wish they would show more of the Vulcan starship. It looks very much like an old design by Jeffries, and is very cool.

Next week looks like a formula "everyone dies but is saved when we go through a wormhole and fix a mistake" episode, which has been done to death. Hopefully they can put a new spin on this somehow.

While it got bogged down in those slap-schticky tie-me-up, tie-me-down scenes between N'Pol and Archer, the episode was refreshing if only for continuing the storyline directly from a previous episode. Bravo! Keep that up and the series might continue to be worth watching.

I still think the over-use of encountering alien species in the dark with flashlights is a cheap way to re-use old sets. The outside of that kidnapper compound looked an awful lot like the stock-standard "cave" set we've come to know and loathe.

Wouldn't it be nice to have that Andorian be a continuing character?
