The Daily Show on DVD!

If you like The Daily Show, and feel the need to spend money unnecessarily, you'll love The Daily Show Very Special DVD Edition. This digitally-remastered, close captioned, wide-screen, limited edition, 5 disc box set includes behind-the-scenes commentary by Stephen Colbert. You'll also get un-edited audio commentary from the show's director, Chuck. Best of all, all five disks are recorded in state-of-the-art Dolby THX Surround Sound.

Very cool--I'd love to see this sort of thing for other talk shows. Wouldn't it be great to have Letterman's skits on a DVD? The one where he takes orders at Taco Bell always cracks me up...

Looks like Jon and company are having some fun -- or is that poking fun -- on DVD, as such moving to TV Talk.

I saw that last night. Very, very funny. It'd be great if they truly did release The Daily Show, but alas, it's just a joke. The part with the enhanced sound when he was turning the pages was too funny.

I saw it last night also. Hilarious stuff, especially the director's commentary gag. Seeing as they like to kill Battlebots every chance they get, they should do a mock DVD ad for them next.

well, not for this set yet, but the entire series - 6 seasons - (on 10,000 DVDs) has a MSRP of $100,000.
