I tried to give this show the benefit of the doubt, but tonight's episode was just awful. The laugh track was obnoxious, and the same tired old jokes were strewn at us.
"That Cancelled Show" seems about right.

Some of it was entertaining, and the Roger character is really good. But the laugh track is so damn_annoying that it's near impossible to focus on any of the good parts of this show. Much better than the premiere ... still nothing special, though.

Ya , it was pretty bad, Grounded for Life wasn't that great either. That 80's Show tries to be "That 70's Show" but it forgets that its already been done.

Yeah, starting to lose hope...I'll give it a few more weeks, although I seem to recall liking That 70's Show from the very beginning...

That show sucks.

Fox needs to cancell it and replace it with The Family Guy

Amen. But they won't. Wanna know why?? Because I'm cursed. That's right. I'm cursed. Anything I like turns to crap. It's inevitable.

This show is pure crap. Worthy of a WB sitcom. Its not just the laugh track, its the writing. I mean they have very lame writers. The Roger character is decent but that is only becuase he has talent. I gave it 2 tries and I am done.

I think it's time to start campaigning for That Roger Show.

I skipped My Wife and Kids last week to watch That 80's show.. While I enjoyed it.. it wasn't spectacular enough to continue to miss Wife and Kids.. That show is one of the best on TV.

Esp the little girl.. hehe..

I loved the episode where she was in her room with all the money.. and she says "look at all these monies.. "

She and Damon make the show.

Which one is Roger? (I have to be watching a show for at least 5 years to get the characters straight.)

The only two characters I like are the "Bro" guy and the lady who owns the record store. I hate the sister and the bi-sexual...they are the most annoying characters on television. Everybody else I could care less about (although the punk girl was cute when she took her hair down).

Well, I have to love the bisexual just 'cause it's my nature, but I must admit that the object of her affection (the sister) is without a doubt one of the most annoying characters on television...

Having been in the 70s and the 80s, the 80s show is painful to watch. The 70s show hit some cords of the past and also had original humor. This 80s show is pure garbage with no real humor link to that era. I lived in Miami during the real 80s so it wasn't that different from San Diego and this show misses the boat. It just a studio invention trying to cash in on the 70s show.

I thought tonight's episode (2/6) was actually pretty funny.
I'll give it a few more weeks as well (I HATED the first episode).

Ditto. I also found the original pretty blah, though I realize I had pretty much seen the entire episode through promos 100 times over. Seems to be getting better. I'll keep watching it, if for no other reason then I used to watch That 70's Show in that slot and love watching Grounded for Life.

I watched it for the first time and I didn't think it was all that bad, but it certainly wasn't the best who.

I think that I've watched three episodes now. I found last nights show the best so far and like you found the first one to be the worst. I'm still not sure about it long term, but there isn't much else of interest on during that time slot... so, I'll stick with it for a while longer.

IMO, the laugh track is by far the worst part of the show. To me, it makes some reasonably funny stuff seem less funny. Will anyone at the show figure out how unpopular it is?

YEAH the towel shot didn't hurt any!

And I liked the car salesman to the elderly couple bit.
