Family Guy A Thon 1/10/02

http://tv.zap2it.com/news/networkupdate.html?22814

4 episodes in a row. Plots look great.

I say outlook doesnt look good. I think they are dumping the new episodes to air 2 hour blocks of Temptation Island during sweeps or some other BS.

could this mean that Fox knows that Family guy is its best bet against survivor or does this mean Fox gives up that night and throws FG out there to die like dogs?

Unfortunately, I'd guess the latter. FOX has done almost everything they can to kill this show.

If they end up replacing this show with "That 80's Show" I will shoot myself.

Has this show just not been on the last few weeks or did they move it again? @ fox.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the cartoon network will pick it up if they drop it...

Just noticed the front Page of DVDtalk lists the [bold] "Family Guy Season One" [/bold] on DVD, the bad news is its only region 2 compatable so if your like me without a region free player your SOL.

good news for the others though...

Isn't there a way to download them off the net, or would that be illegal?

mIrc has all of them. And I'm pretty sure it's not illegal. If it is, delete this post, Moderator-man.

You should search the International forum (or restate your question there). What you are looking for is a region-free player that can convert PAL to NTSC. There are several that can do this (including the popular APEX 600A). I think you can probably get an inexpensive model to do this for you for ~$100.

Here's the link to the DVD set at Amazon.uk:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...05OL9E/dvdtalk

(I don't have it yet... it's not going to ship for a couple of weeks, because I have it in the same order as the FUTURAMA SEASON 1 box.)

Yet another reason why we sometimes get screwed in the US. The thing that sucks even more about it, they are all shows that came from the US.

Lets see.. of the shows I watch and would love on DVD, they are all out in region 2, in nice season boxsets no less.

Friends, Buffy, Angel, Futurama, Family Guy.

*sigh*

at least we are getting Season 1 of Buffy in a week.

Once you get it, you should check out the list of titles that are only available in other regions:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=150365

Some people find more of interest than others. I don't have a ton of titles from other regions, but there are definitely a good dozen or so in my collection (Dune Extended Version, Day of the Triffids, Knight Rider, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Tripods, etc.)
