Favorite available X-Files Season on DVD

I was lucky enough to get season 4 for X-mas (heh heh)

What an incredible season I had forgotten alot of these episodes and there is a whole lot more here than the beloved Home episode. You also have Small Potatoes, Paper Hearts, kaddish, and my favorite episode The Field where I died.
Of the available seasons 1-4 which is your favorite?

Season 3, IMO, has the single best episode of the X-files ever: 'Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose'.

It also has other gems like 'War of the Coprophages', 'Pusher' and 'Jose Chung's "From Outer Space"'. And the mythology episodes at this point, like the two parter 'Nisei'/'731', still kept you on the edge of your seat, unlike the later mythology episodes.

My favorites are 3,4 and 5. After that the show started to drag. I will buy them all, except for season 9. I have stopped watching the show now.

I could make a case for 2, but 3 is easily my favorite. 4 is polished but lacks inspiration, and it's often as uneven as season 1.

Pusher
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'
Nisei/731
Piper Maru/Apocrypha
Revelations
Szygzy (guessing at the spelling)
Wetwired

Everything except for two episodes at the end - Hell Money and ... I'm blanking, it aired right next to Hell Money - was good this year.

That would be 'Teso Dos Bichos', with the terrible killer cats. Easily one of the worst episodes ever.

Season 3 is universally regarded as the season where XF reached it's peak. Practically every episode from this season was a winner, including the gems 'Jose Chung's From Outer Space' and 'Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose'.
