MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I enjoy visiting this forum on a daily basis to discuss and argue and throw down about various television programs. All of you give me a nice distraction from work and something new and intersting to look forward to each day. I sincerely wish each of you the best to you and your family in the coming week.

*To me, Christmas is two holidays: the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus and the American celebration of family, friendship, peace, joyous song, love, good will, and good ol' fashioned being nice to one another. When I go to church on Christmas eve, that's my celebration of my religious beliefts. When I wish you a "Merry Christmas," it means that I care about your well-being and wish you the best of happiness during the holiday season. Whether you believe in God, believe in Christ, believe in many Gods, believe in no God, believe in alien God(s), believe God's a bad man who should be punished, worship animals, worship inanimate objects, worship yourself, think you are the one true God, or anything in between, from my perspective, the salutation "Merry Christmas" applies. It's a wish of happiness and joy to you and those you care about, so please don't get offended.

LOL! Love the disclaimer, das - I agree 100% with your assessment of the term. I too say it with that sentiment (and no covert meanings) attached.
So thank you, and Merry Christmas to you, and to all dvd talkers.
Oh, and I personally love it when people open doors for me - sometimes it's just politeness (I always hold the door if someone is a step or two behind me - otherwise it would shut in their face) and sometimes it's chivalrous (in the best, least oppressive sense of the word) but it's always appreciated. As is letting me walk first, walking to the street side of the sidewalk, opening and closing a car door for me, pulling out a chair, etc. - I appreciate all of it. But then some have 'accused' me of being a girly-girl.

My Merry Christmas comes without a disclaimer. 'Tis the season. Get over it.
My opening doors policy comes without apology, or regard for race, gender, or age. I just happened to get there before you did. Next time, move a little faster.
But in all seriousness, Merry Christmas to all, especially here in TV Talk. I appreciate your gifts of taking time to read my sometimes (?) crazy posts.
A virtual *HUG* to you all.
