Reminder: Overhyped IT (Ginger) Unveiling on 'Good Morning America' Monday

Some people are obsessed with this, some don't really care, and some have never even heard of IT. Popular theory expects IT to be a personal scooter based on the Stirling cycle engine, possibly an extention of Kamen's iBOT. There is plenty of evidence to support this theory (recent Kamen patents, lobbying information from Acros LLC, etc, derivation of the name 'Ginger'), but it could just as easily be something else or intentional misdirection from Kamen's camp. Whatever IT is -- world changing technology or massive let-down -- it's probably worth tuning in to hear what Kamen has to say. If IT really is one step below cold fusion like he claims, it should be interesting. Whatever happens, I'll be watching 'Good Morning America' for the first time in years.

you can't be serious... he actually said that?? For some reason i doubt anything that close to cold fusion wouldn't be unvieled on Good morning america.

It had been a while since i read anythign about this, so i looked up some more articles on it. I'm intrigued, but probably for no reason. steve jobs: "people will build cities around this" .... ??? One guys article said that it is a flying car. One said its just one of those damn razor scooters... If it's just a razor scooter i'm going to slap steve jobs.

I saw twikoff post a thread about it being on "The Today Show", but GMA's the one airing all the promos and releasing press statements about it. Frankly, I'd rather see it on "Today" since it's a vastly superior program, but I don't think that's the case.

To be fair, it may have been one of the guys that were invited to look at it back in January -- Bezos, or Jobs, or Metcalfe -- that made that statement. I haven't been paying that much attention to all the hype, so I honestly don't remember. I took that to mean that the source of power was revolutionary but still a step away from cold fusion. Not too off the wall, I don't think.

So which program is it for sure? I want to have TiVo record it, since I will not be waking up that early.

I'm setting my TiVo to record Good Morning America, not Today ... take that for whatever it's worth to you.

If you can't wait to see IT, I just posted a thread in Other with a link to the Time magazine article.
