TPM on Fox, full screen

I'm amazed lucas let them do it in full screen

RandyM 11-25-01 08:54 PM

Is there anything Lucas wouldn't do for a buck?

Actually, it was supposed to be 16:9 OAR (albeit 480p) if you could receive one of the FOX-DT stations. But as usuall, the local affiliate here WFXT-DT screwed up and showed it 4:3.

I hear some local FOX-DT affiliates got it right.

4:3 from Fox 53 in Pittsburgh. Crappy picture too. :(

Like I care, though. I have the DVD, and they can't hope to present it on TV that well.

BTW, was this the theatrical cut, the DVD cut, or did they screw everyone over by adding "never before seen" footage?

put up with it for the r2d2 special, on now

Thank Goodness I have this on DVD. If I knew it was going to be pan/scan I would skipped it! Now I'm just listening to it instead of watching it? Why can't they put all movies on widescreen instead of pathetic pan/scan?or is it for "Joe Six Pack's" benifit?

Simple not every movie was made to be widescreen. Support OAR instead of one specific type. But yes pan & scan is for common viewers.

but I hate that site, streaming only is bad
(at least it was streaming only last time I was there)
