Who are the real prime time Junkies?

Anybody ever count the hours? While answering another thread I became curious as to how much must see prime time network regular scheduled programming I commit myself to every week.

I came up with 26 hours. Between what I watch live and what I tape and watch later.

This is with no programming on Friday or Saturday nights. Or access to UPN or WB Channels.

Is this a lot or a little? Let's see who the real prime time junkies are.

I used to watch that much back around 94-98 when prime time was in one of its "golden eras." I used to watch shows like Seinfeld, ER, Friends, Frasier, Home Improvement, Drew Carey, Ellen, X-Files, Simpsons, etc on a weekly basis along with alot of the shows that were on in between the hits.

Same here. It's seems like during those few years there was great tv for the 3 hour prime time slots (7-10 Mountain Time) every night of the week (minus Fri. and Sat.)

Nowadays I watch:
Mon.: nothing solid flip between Monday Night Football and maybe Everybody Loves Raymond
Tues.: 24, record NYPD Blue (dropped Smallville Completely)
Wed.: Ed, and West Wing
Thurs.:Friends, last 30 min. of Survivor, CSI, ER
Fri.: Nothing
Sat.: Nothing
Sun: maybe Simpsons, pretty much finished with x-files

so let's see that comes to about 8 1/2 hours give or take. That's not very much considering in the mid '90's I was watching 18+ hours a week.

Prime Time network programming, eh?

Let's see ...

Monday: Boston Public, Ally, Angel, Crossing Jordan, Monday Night Football, King of Queens
Tuesday: Buffy, 24, Philly, Undeclared, NYPB Blue
Wednesday: Enterprise, The West Wing, Law & Order
Thursday: Survivor
Friday: Thieves, Once & Again, Pasadena
Sunday: Alias, The Practice

So I guess that's 21 network hours. Thankfully, I've just recently dropped about 6 hour long shows from my list in the last week. I could probably cram a few more shows into that list (like Gilmore girls which I can't watch since I can only get one WB/UPN feed at a time), but with all the cable programming I watch, there's very little time left in the day.

Not a lot for me..

Mon - Fri: Seinfeld and Simpsons
Tue: Buffy
Sun: King of the Hill, Simpsons, Malcolm, X-Files

Ever since FX started running Buffy I have been watching that every night so that accounts for 10 hours right there. So my total weekly viewing is 18.5 hours.

In order of preference from worst to best:
21. Dark Angel
20. Crossing Jordan
19. Citizen Baines
18. The Practice
17. X-Files
16. Malcolm in the Middle
15. Pasadena
14. That's Life
13. Felicity
12. Simpsons
11. Friends
10. Enterprise
9. Ally McBeal
8. ER
7. Alias
6. 24
5. Angel
4. West Wing
3. NYPD Blue
2. Gilmore Girls
1. Buffy

Total: 19 1/2 hours
But I'm not so sure about the future of Pasadena or Citizen Baines- it may be cut down to 17 1/2 hours if these are canceled. Also, Dark Angel and Crossing Jordan are on their last legs, only reasons they're still on my list are the drawing power of the main star and the fact that there's nothing better on at those times.
