Seriously does HBO have any other programing besides Meet The Parents and Loser?

I swear I've seen bits and pieces of Loser everyday for the past 2 weeks.

If I didn't own Loser I could definitely go for that. I love that movie.

That's why I got rid of HBO. They were good for awhile, but they kept showing the same movies over and over again.

I just got Digital Cable and decided for the first time in my life to get every Premium Channel available. While I think its cool to be able to just turn the tube on and scroll through all the movies, I too have noticed that most channels just keep repeating and repeating stuff.

Here is the current playlist of Movies/Shows currently making rounds on the Premium Channels:

Loser
Meet The Parents
Me, Myself and Irene
The Haunting
Legend of Drunken Master
Bill Cosby Himself
Cider House Rules
Superman: The Motion Picture
Gremlins
Ghostbusters 2

For some reason these are played over and over again. Its like if you miss it don't worry it will be replayed in thirty minutes.

Come'on, this isn't "Pay Per View". Give us something for the money we're shelling out. I am seriously considering getting rid of everything... well, except for Skinemax and even that is getting old.

I have never subscribed to any Pay channels and this so far has proven to me why I never did.

I guess the one cool thing is that the movie channels are consistent... I can watch "Meet the Parents" in Standard, Digital, HDTV or Spanish.

You don't get HBO for movies ... that's what all the Starz and Encore channels are for. You get HBO for original programming. An original film every month that's many times better than what you'd see in a theater. Main event boxing every weekend. And the best original shows of any network hands down. In addition to the above, The Chris Rock Show, Six Feet Under, On the Record, Real Sports, America Undercover, Arli$$, Inside the NFL ... you may not like all of these shows, but there's more than enough to choose from a definitely more than enough to warrant the monthly charge.

Don't forget "Reverb", that damn show is on 24/7! If I wanted to listen to music I'd turn it to MTV.

He probably meant MTV2, which for some reason decided to become a hip-hop station, for the life of me I don't know why.

I mean when the had the vote show where you go online and vote rap songs came in with 10% and alterna rock came in with or 40 50 spilt btw 2.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie

Hey I actually like the movie
I only subscribe to HBO when I need to. The Dish Network people prolly think I am nuts. Subscribe, cancel ....

Like I subscribed for the Madonna concert then I canceled. Will be signing back up in a few weeks for the Britney Spears concert

HBO should create another channel where they ONLY air "Made for HBO" movies, specials, and series.

But I know one thing. I'm sooooo sick of seeing the one special about the kids that got killed by the 3 older boys.

HBO has a tendency to do this when new movies recently premier. If It weren't for The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, Band of Brothers, and The Mind of the Married Man, I'd have gotten' rid of HBO a while ago.

Solution: Go satellite, 6 HBOs for the price of one on cable.

One of the main reasons I even subscribed to HBO was for the Sopranos.....then I find out no new episodes until the end of next year. They are repeating the old episodes, but by the time they get to the second season, it will be out on dvd already. I really enjoy Band of Brothers, Six Feet Under, etc. So I guess I'll keep it.

Definitely can't wait for the Britney concert either

There is very little, if any, hip hop on MTV2. Hip hop and Rap are two entirely different things. There is plenty of (c)rap, though. I'm gonna throw up if I see another DMX video.
