Simpsons enthusiasts... favorite season?

Hopefully, we'll be seeing more season sets from The Simpsons in the coming year... yay! While I can't ever remember The Simpsons "jumping the shark" and going bad, I'm pretty sure it has evolved through the show's history. I'm wondering what people think is the best season of the show... or at least, the best season out of the first four. I'm looking for two main things...

1. Homer antics
2. Ralph Wiggum antics

Let the debate begin!

Hee hee... Ralph funny!

season 3 was pretty damn good. the monorail episode was in that one as well as the valentine episode with ralph. i'd say that one was my favorite year of the first four.

Anything from Season 3 (even the tail end of Season 2 is pretty good) to Season 9 is gold. It's gets more sporadic thereafter, but there's still some really funny episodes...

Seasons 2-7 are definitely the best. Season 8 was okay, but it jumped the shark after that.

Season 4 contained many great moments, including Monorail and Duff Gardens. They can't release this one on DVD fast enough!

This is a tough choice. I'd say a tie between seasons 3, 4 and 5.

I think season 5 was the best. And the show has jumped the shark.
