they are gonna show a new Simpsons Halloween special the day before halloween, so you may say that could be considered the season premiere. i guess that's just a technicallity, though.

Hey, if the show has changed, there is no reason to continue watching it if people don't like it. I know of people (in Australia)who say "I don't like the show anymore, so why is it on". So, the show is not as fresh or as funny as it was 5 years ago, but it's still far better than a lot of the other stuff on offer.

Personally, I hope it makes 20+ years and goes from the longest running cartoon in history to the longest running sitcom in history (I would say TV show, but I think that DOOL, GH and other similar shows have records that are unbeatable).
