star trek connections with actors/actresses

I've noticed a funny thing with star trek people. they either have multiple roles in the show (Tim Russ before becoming Tuvok) or they do a lot of non-trek stuff together
I guess the best way to describe it is a kind of "6 degrees of kevin bacon" type thing

Scott Bakula, was in quantum leap, terry farrel (dax) and robert duncan mcneil (lacardo in tng, paris on voy) were both guest stars on quantum leap (farrel had a full frontal nudity scene from a distance so it's had to see, I posted about it a while back)

neelix and odo were on benson together

at least 3 actors from robocop have had guest roles etc

anyone else notice this, or am I just a super nerd

I knew robert duncan mcneil and Tim russ had both been guest stars In fact tim russ almost beat Levar burton for the role of laforge. What episode did farrell guest star?

Marjorie Monaghan was in Quantum Leap and lost the role of T'Pol in the final days to Jolene Blalock.

Rene Auberjenois and Ethan Phillips were on Benson together for years.

I guess you could pick any number of people, simply because many famous people want to be on Star Trek. You take a body of work 35 years in the making, and connecting people gets pretty easy. Much of TV is this way - it's just easier to spot with Star Trek because we're so familiar with it. The more TV you watch, the more really freaky coincidences you'll come across.

Well, this is taking the concept a bit far, but the two parents on Seventh Heaven.

Steven Collins was in The Motion Picture
The wife (can't think of her name) was in The Voyage Home

The wife is Catherine Hicks, who also played Marilyn Monroe/Norma Jean Baker in a TV film.

I didn't realize that Marjorie Monoghan was up for the role of T'pol, she would have done a good job with that role (I got to meet her at this year's Dragon Con and she was pretty nice to her fans).

forgot about them, but I've only seen the commercials for that show, and not the show itself

There were a ton of Trek stars (Walter Koenig, Majel Barrett, etc) and guest stars that did Babylon 5.

Bester was easily the best character on B5. Koenig was painfully underused by Trek IMO.
