After a 5 year absence, a new season of AbFab debuted last Friday on BBC1.

I am in Europe on a business trip for 4 weeks and had the opportunity to watch the first episode. New sets but still very funny.

I wonder how long it will take to show up in the US

It is supposed to show up on Comedy Central at some point, hopefully this fall

It's coming to Region 2 DVD on November 12th.

Absolutely Fabulous Series 3

That wouldn't be the new season. Series 3 aired quite a while ago (1995, I think), and is already on VHS/Laserdisc/DVD in the US.

This new season is Series 4 (although I don't know if that's what they are officially calling it, since they also did the "LAST SHOUT" movie).

Oops, you're right. I forgot that I still have Series 3 on laserdisc somewhere, although my player died last week after watching Ed Wood. :(

not exactly sure, but from things I have read (and things could have changed) this is sort of a new show and so might start it's own seasons #-ing at season #1.
Isn't the show called Ab Fab: *something*?
I read that most of the major characters were returning, but that Jane Horrocks would be playing a different character (she is not Bubbles)...an Icelandic waitress or something like that....

FYI: I have always seen production #s for THE LAST SHOUT as "episode 4.0" so it got a "4" to denote a 4th season, but not really since it has a "0" instead of an episode number for that season.

when oh when will THE LAST SHOUT be on dvd?

Episode 2 of the new season was on last friday night. Guinness came out my nose.
