Klingons in Enterprise

I think I saw a klingon, with the full 'modern' makeup, on an Enterprise
commercial last night (and just now). There was definitely a brown skinned person with a
bumpy forehead.

Yeah, I saw that too... Uh oh.......let's hope they don't make too many of these "boo boos"

But you know, I'm still looking forward to the show despite

real general plot stuff

Spoiler:

Enterprise (TV): Details on follow-up episodes to the pilot have been revealed on TrekToday. The second ep. "Fight or Flight" about aliens attempting to drain the crew of their bodily fluids was shot a while back but underwent reshoots recently in order to fix up some nagging problems. "Strange New World" features the crew being infected by an alien pollen that induces hallucinations and make them suspect T'Pol of collaborating with hostile aliens. "Unexpected" has the crew seeking out the Klingons to help Engineer Charles 'Trip' Tucker who became pregnant whilst helping hostile aliens, whilst the presently untitled fifth episode guest stars DS9's 'Weyoun' himself Jeffrey Combs in the guise of a antenna wearing blue skinned Andorian. Also check out this week's TV Guide which talks with Berman and has lots of photos and details of the new series and characters, as well as answering questions about the new uniforms, sets and that rumour that either the character of 'Trip' Tucker or Malcolm Reed will be gay. Highlights of the article are online now at Trekweb, whilst scans of pretty much all the major photos are now up at Starfleet Academy. Thanks to 'Christian' & 'Radz'

I don't see it as a big deal that the Klingons on Enterprise have ridges. Gene Roddenberry even said that he always wanted them to have ridges or at least some makeup but the budget never allowed for it, so he couldnt do it until the first movie.

I agree ridges are ok. But the people on rec.startrek.(any of the series) are gonna go nuts

cool story, minor spoilers

I think I remember an episode of DS9 where they go back in time to the TOS Enterprise when Klingons are on board and Worf has to wear a hood. All of the DS9ers acted surprised, like they thought all Klingons always looked like Worf. When they asked Worf what caused the change, he just said "It is not spoken of." I always thought it was the producers way of telling the militant fans to get over it. I personally hope there are Klingons in Enterprise, ridges or not.

I remember that ep.
I think someone in the crew suggested that it may have been some genetic experiments gone wrong...
So... I, too, would be let down if the Klingons aren't Ruffled.

I've read the script for "Broken Bow", which indicates the following:

Spoiler:
When Archer and the crew get to Kronos to deliver the Klingon who crash landed on Earth, they go before the High Council, and there are some "Klingons who appear human, without ridges" in the room. Why they are there or how they came to be is not discussed in the script, but it leaves open a storyline in which the absence of ridges in the original series will be explained.
