i dont remember them ever revealing it, but i would think with francis being in a military school for so long, someone would have at one time called him by his last name

BigDave 02-18-02 11:44 AM

I don't recall it either. Funny show though.

My favourite moment from the whole show is when after making tons from old ladies, Reese presents little Dewey with a nice expensive toy robot. The poor little kid's eyes just light up with joy, only to be detroyed as Reese throws the toy on the ground and stomps on it. Man, that is just evil!

Still, I think Dewey rules. He has Francis' dishonesty, Malcolm's ingenuity, and Reese's tendency towards violence. I swear, that kid is the next Hitler. ;-)

Ok, who has an opinion on the Frances sub-plot? Do you prefer his shenanigans at the military academy with the eye patch guy? Or the new ones in Alaska with the nasty old hag? Personally, I really think the old hag is starting to shine as the antagonist. She convinced me when she kicked so much a$$ in the hockey game.

It's Wilkerson

cliff: I don't know.. I miss all the cadets at the academy, but it just wasn't the same after that black dude who was the perfect partner for Francis left the show.

The one-eyed Comandant was terrific, though.

I am glad that they brought back Cynthia, and boy did they bring her back! ;-)

Whatever happened to Malcolm's old teacher?

Not her BACK, exactly... I'm sure that Malcom will keep abreast of the situation.

Because it's one of the only shows on TV that is entertaining.

:crap:

Moving on...

I'm hoping they move Francis on to something different (like maybe a new local). It was pretty funny when he called his parents last week looking for money and his dad told him he wasn't going to help him since he emancipated himself from the family.

My favorite scene this season though has gotta be when Dewey loaded up the sack with toys and busted Reese in the face with it. "I have nowhere to go."

how come there was no hamster in the ball this week? :(

huzefa 02-18-02 11:17 PM

Anyone think they're real?

You know what I'm talking about......

no way, unless puberty hit her like a wall in the last few months

very, very fake. you could tell she wasn't wearing the "prosthetics" under the baggy sweaters. they even looked fake when they were shown.

mllefoo 02-18-02 11:34 PM

They _could_ be real. I knew a girl in 5th grade - that's TEN years old - who was already a D cup! Genetics can be a harsh thing for a prepubescent girl. And Cynthia reacted the same way I did when I started...blossoming. Although I never got THAT big!

By the way, Dewey rocks. Any kid who could befriend a housefly and have it answer his questions is pretty cool in my book :D And I loved the whole "walking the hamster" thing. It was hilarious when he finally set the hamster free.

D-Ball 02-19-02 02:23 AM

Did you know?

Malcolm is actually 2 months older than Reese in real life.

I'm pretty sure I saw Bernard roll by (it always gets a giggle out of me), but I'll be damned if I can tell you when it happened.

Thanks for changing that Geoff! :D

Dewey is the best...hands down... so hilarious.

I think the new Francis storyline is great and quite funny. One of the best shows on TV just keeps getting better.

Well - something like this - Malcolm and his Krelborn buddies were working on some model rocket or something and Malcolm was supposed to be in charge of the guidance system. He was distracted by some girl, however, and messed it up. When they launched it, it went into the playground of the school and hit the teacher. She was rather pregnant at the time too. They tell you that the accident put her into labor, she had the baby and both she and the child were fine. Then she never showed up again. The next time you see their teacher it is the over-achiever guy who was a former dot com-er and Krelborn.

Tesiae 02-19-02 03:03 PM

It's just too bad we'll never see Robert Loggia as Grandpa again. :-( Unless it's a flashback. But at least Cloris Leachman is still around.

Malcolm in the Middle...of a salary dispute?

That's what a published report says is behind Emmy nominee Jane Kaczmarek's M.I.A. status from the set of the hit Fox comedy.

The 46-year-old actress, who plays Frankie Muniz's fearsome TV mom, left the show two weeks ago amid efforts by her camp to secure "a big pay raise," USA Today reports.

But her aforementioned camp says migraines--not money matters--are to blame for her absence.

Frank TJ Mackey 02-26-02 01:51 AM

Well that explains why a sudden repeat was on last night instead of the new episode that was promoted.

She's absolutely the best thing about the show in my opinion. How they gave an Emmy to Sarah Jessica Parker or the woman from "Raymond" is beyond me.

Jackskeleton 02-26-02 03:45 AM

hopefully if its a money problem it gets resolved as she does add a whole lot to the show.
