Got digital cable- now is there any way to....
..., record a channel while watching another channel?
I have At&T Broadband if that is any help.
Anyone have any ideas?

Gotta get another receiver. Seeing as AT&T likes to assrape you whenever possible, this may be a difficult proposition, but they should just provide you with a second receiver and charge you around an extra $5 a month for it. You'll have to call to find out.

If you don't want the assrape and the extra costs that go with it, you can split the signal before it gets to your box. You don't get the premiums and the digital
channels, but you do get the basic and extended basic comepletly independent of your box and ready for dual tuning. I use this setup to record say an HBO program on the PVR, a NBC program on the VCR, and watch CBS program or DVD or listen to music at the same time. Not that I'm doing this frequently but the option's there. I'd wreak havoc is I was a Nielson family.

Sorry, I figured you meant recording digital while watching digital. Assuming Broadband (I'm not very familiar with their charges) provides a basic cable service behind the digital service, you can always watch another show off that. Obviously, you can split that basic service as many times as you want. This is all dependent upon how Broadband is set up. If your cable jack feeds a basic/extended basic signal, then you can always split that off like mentioned above before it goes to the receiver. You're still stuck getting multiple receivers to watch more than one digital show, though. Good luck.
