The Wayne Brady Show
Did anyone else find it excrutiating to watch this? I pretty much gave up after 15 minutes. I wasn't expecting another Whose Line, but I was at least expecting some laughs. Just goes to show you how much Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie can raise the humour level.

I only watched ONE segment and then changed the channel.
I really like Wayne Brady and was hoping for more. I saw him do stand-up comedy and IMPROV in Las Vegas last year and it was GREAT and didn't stop laughing for 90 minutes. But yeah this tv show looks pretty bad. |
Lame. The worst part was when he had Justin Timberlake doing the human beat-box. I almost threw a brick through my TV.

I absolutely hated this crap, this could have been soooooooo much better.

I was disappointed too, but I ended up watching the whole thing. They eventually did some improv and it was pretty good, definitely the best part of the show.

The shows could've been a lot better, but let them work out the kinks. Wayne Brady is remarkably likable and very funny. My favorite bit was when he and another cast member were doing a scene and a third guy was telling them to reverse, slow down, etc.

Wayne Brady is a huge talent. It's clear that he also has a tremendous amount of energy. This guy should be in the movies instead of that idiot, Chris Tucker. But I agree with the previous posters; the show as a whole wasn't very good.

Why do the networks do this? I couldn't believe it when I saw it. No one can leave well enough alone. It's really difficult to center a show like that around one person. For an example, I'll refer you to the Dana Carvey Show. ABC (?) gave him his own half hour, and even he couldn't keep it alive. And I believe Carvey is every bit as talented as Brady, although perhaps not at improv. Anyway, this show could be better, and it was ok, but my question is...how do they sustain it and prevent it from ending after 4 episodes?
And who wants to see Justin? Are the teens the core audience ABC is looking for here? |
Watching it as just another variety hour type show, I enjoyed it.
oops. Flame suit on :D |

It wasn't an hour long. It was two half hour episodes.
And not NEARLY as good as that game show that used to be on USA with the Zappa bros (Happy Hour?). Brady was on that show at least once, possibly more, and I feel it was the funniest I've ever seen him. And yes, I've seen numerous episodes of WLIIA? |
Bust: Now see, I watched Happy Hour and I loved it. Minor celebrities singing, dancing, and generally making fools out of themselves. It was frivolous fun.

Bust: Nah, just confirming that I also liked that show. ;-)
